Made an appointment. I wrote a review 3 years ago. Still a total mess. Complete waste of time. And with a passport, My social security card, my mortgage statement and an excise bill they STILL can’t give me a real Id. “Come back tomorrow” and wait another 3 hours. They didn’t like my social security card issued in 1968. Plus. All the ss verification docs they want do not show your full number due to fraud protection. Come on rmv!! What a $hit show

Maybe I got lucky, but this was far and away the best RMV experience of my life. I had a 10:50am appointment- arrived at 10:40, they took me at 11am and I was done by 11:10! I was planning on being there for a few hours :-) This was to register a new vehicle that was purchased out of state, so I expected it to take longer. My only complaint is that it was difficult to make the online appointment- it looked like everything was booked, so I had to keep checking back on the website every day until I found a free time. Other than that, I was very impressed with this whole experience.

Rude arrogant Examiner (Tall white guy) with zero patience. Wish i have read reviews and avoided examiner #194 tall white guy. His trick is to make you nervous with his rude behavior and waits for a small mistake to fail your road test. Not sure why RMV has not acted on so many reviews on this particular guy. Avoid him, as long as he is working there. He gives you clear vibes, that he is on power ride and makes you feel like he is working there for others sake. His is very rude, instructions are very fast and hard for any immigrant to follow. Not sure if he does this only to person of color. You can easily identify this guy, the moment he starts conversation with you at RMV Milford.

I'm not really a fan of this RMV. I first came here to transfer my out of state license and registration but had an issue with transferring my license because my proofs of MA residency was denied. I understand because it was partly my fault, but in another way it wasn't. I was able to get my registration transferred here smoothly, but honestly I don't really care to come back to this location because of the snooty vibe I got from this RMV. I went to Attleboro instead to get out of my state license transferred and had a much easier time dealing with them. Yes, a big part of getting this stuff done is having all your required documentation but in some ways, the RMV is still kind of a broken system. I never understood why a human person can't answer the phone to help you answer your questions and that you have to figure it out online. I also don't understand why you need to have an appointment to transfer an out of state license and registration when you can just walk in with all of your required documents and get it done right there.

Kiero to make an appointment for the written exam
Yes Credit, Debit, Cash or Check.
First thing in the morning after that it gets really congested and wait times are forever.
I need an I.d.. to travel. I had received an appointment time, but I was given my Dr. Location appointments. What is going on??? Mass.gov doesn't let you talk to a person...
Moving from RI to MA. With valid RI license

I agree, yes. Just did that last week. Definitely make an appt online. I had a really good experience at this rmv
60$ and it's good for 2 years
You can drop off old license plates and leave. But. For your own protection, and know 100% that your old plates ARE cancelled make an appointment and hand them to a window clerk. Best to go before noon too.
If you are registering the vehicle you also need a filled out RTA with insurance stamp along with your valid ID
Is it too heavy to carry oy with you or perhaps uou dont have one
Yes you need an appointment and finding a parking spot can be difficult almost impossible sometimes plan ahead because you might have to wait until a spot opens before you park for your appointment
You can do it in person or online
The MA registry of motor vehicle.
Not sure sorry
They really dont want you there too early but the line outside has been long today. Tell the security guard you have an appointment because they do bring them in tirst
Half day
Go to the Massachusetts RMV website and retrieve that specific form to fill out and print. It is easy to find. Avoid long lines at RMV by making an appointment online at the same sight. Oh, one more thing. Massachusetts requires your driver's license to also be the new "Real ID". That requirement had been delayed for a time due to Covid 19. You may need to get that new "REAL ID Driver's License." You probably will need your birth certificate etc. Go online to the Mass RMV to figure this out. AND, they also have a phone number online you can call for general questions.
Yes you can.
Not for registration or plates. License and everything else does
I always renew online. As long you dnt own anything, "tickets"
Yes, and you don't need to return, just destroy
You have to use their can but I don't know the type
It depends. Do you have the title, vehicle registration documents, and other forms? If you do then you can just go to the RMV in Milford, MA and drop them off. However you would have to talk to the security guard there for instructions. They'll walk you through the process getting a number before you can get in. Also keep in mind that processing this will take at least a week. Call an agent for your car insurance company and ask them exactly what you need first and when you do pay whatever fees you need to pay, make sure that you have a check, money order, or debit/credit card. The Millbury RMV won't accept cash. I know this is a long response, but I'm trying to save you some of the trouble that I had to deal with. RMVs appointments are not always the most pleasant experiences. Good luck to you, and congratulations on getting your new car.
I went through this with the Hubbs plate Because you are not ordering 2 plates, you can not get a replacement for your plate number, I had to get new
If the vehicle is coming to you from a family member who died you need the death certificate. Of Mother, father, brother or sister
You need to go on line
According to the RMV website, the Milford branch is for drop-off paper work only. It's closed for in-person appointments. You can check the website for more info.
The application, learner's permit, and a witness or sponsor I think
Wait outside
No, just switched vehicles
Find all relevant info here: https://www.mass.gov/guides/massachusetts-identification-id-requirements
If you get your paperwork in before the expiration date, you should be fine!
Just went through this process and it took about a week from dropping off full completed forms to coming back to pickup the title and reg. Would allow for at least 4-6 business days.
On line is the way to go. They use the old picture and mail it to you. Only took like a week.
I think that you don't have to make an appointment for that.. Milford is a drop off center now, first you need to bring all the paperwork with you, wait in line and drop them off at the RMV person (I've waited about an hour). Then they email a link so you pay all the fees online, and then you go there again to pickup the plate. Good luck!
How do I turn in plates
