In comparison with 2 other county jails in the state this is by far the worst in every possible way. Something needs to be done about the administration and/or whoever's in charge of running the jail. I can boldly say there isn't one good thing to be said about this facility. I wouldn't doubt some of the information I'm getting are biased opinions but my brother is a bright individual despite some mistakes he's made however there's no denying some of the facts I'm getting about the conditions, treatment and food. They have the nerve to serve extra food on the 1 or 2 days the state comes in for inspection, it's a joke. Legitimately everything single thing they have to offer from phone calls to commissary is way over priced along with outrageous fees. I've heard the state also pays the jail a very large amount of funds annually per inmate for housing, makes you wonder where all that money goes. Out of the other 2 county jail's in comparison this is the only one that doesn't even give you a pillow to sleep, if that's not inhumane, my dog has several pillows to sleep on. Overall the entire system needs to be reformed but it can start with this place first... - Family member of an inmate.

This is for all the jails in every county. The most "progressive" state in the union has the most inhumane jails/correctional facilities. No detox for anything,HIV meds are ignored,MRSA is rampant,no heat in sub-zero conditions-yeah punishment for wrongdoing WITHIN REASON. I'm not saying that they provide a hotel but humane conditions.

Impossible to get information out of. No one ever answers the phone, regardless of what button you push. It rings several times, and then they hang up on you. Super frustrating.

So difficult to get information about a family member. I'm a citizen not a criminal and have the right to find out information about my family member without being treated as one!

You can go on their website and print one. Fill it out and take it there with you and they will start the process faster

Only during the scheduled bail times. Ways call ahead and find out the times the bondsman will be there!
You have to get clearance to visit. You have to fill out a paper and seems a copy of your id. They are available on line and at the jail. Call the jail. They will tell you. You also have to be on thelist of people the inmate will allow to visit them or you won't be allowed in.
Call Dartmouth House of correction and ask the officer on duty he'll give you full instructions all money has to be in money order form or cash and they have machines right at Dartmouth House of corrections
Be smart. Common sense can keep you out of trouble.. Don't accept favors, nothing is free.. Don't poke your nose into anyone's business, let trouble skip off you onto someone else.. Doesn't have to be you, just had to be someone. If your looking for a fight you will definitely find it there.. So shut up, head down, step up, or punk out will define your time

they can call out when its wreck times between meals phones shut at 930 pm but there is lock down periods too so they only have 2 hours at a time periods
Probably sold it to other inmates in there for food, drugs, etc....
If it's a cell phone you got to have money on your phone already prepaid if not it's just the same as any other collect call

No leggings of any color, no shorts. You can wear Jean's, but not with ANY rips in them no highheel shoes, or no tank tops but you def can wear sandles
