This store needs some classes in how to be pleasant when waiting on customers. If you don't like your job, go elsewhere. Customers do not want to hear you slamming things and acting like we interrupted you. Also if a customer is trying to get down an aisle, associates should move not continue to drink your coffee and talk to another associate, I had to literally go around them to get to the aisle.

I have lived in Johnston for 42 years and have been shopping at the Atwood location Stop and Shop for that period of time. I do not use the self check out in any store. I do not work at these stores and feel it is the stores responsibility to check my items and bag them. The expense of paying someone to work the registers is factored into the price of the items I am purchasing. I strongly feel with more customers using self check out they are slowly phasing out peoples jobs. I object to this. I was in Stop and Shop today and as usual there were not enough registers open and a long line had formed. I will not wait in any long line as I feel it is unnecessary. A store, sensitive to its customers needs, will not allow this to happen. I approached someone in a management position and asked him to open another register. What caused me concern was a disabled man who was also waiting in line. I mentioned this to the “manager”. His total lack of concern and disinterest in my request was apparent in his response. He nonchalantly walked past me and mumbled no one was available to work on a register. I responded he should find someone as the line was too long. His behavior was extremely unprofessional, rude and uncaring. If in fact no one was available, as a manager, he should have taken on the task and worked a register. As I was mentioning, this is why all of their customers have gone to Market Basket, a woman appeared at a register. The disabled man was given first preference for that register. What has happened to customer service in their stores. Market Basket is doing a phenomenal business due to their excellent customer service. Every register is open and they would never respond to a customer in such a rude manner as I experienced at S&S. Market Basket’s customer service should be an example to S&S. Again, I have been shopping at their store for 42 years. They need to rethink the treatment of their customers if they want me to continue there and make it 43 years!!!

The Store Is Organize And Clean* The Employees Running The Extra Mile To Give Us An Excellent Customer Service, The Only I Saw And Need More Attention Is At Least The Men Restroom (I Don't Know About Women Restroom) My 84 Years Old Dad Need To Used The Restroom, But Unfortunately He Can't, Because Was Dirty And Have A Terrible Odors, Look Like Need A Deep Cleaning (With Pressure Wash) And Sanitation

I've been going to this stop n shop branch for many years now,but I'm about done with this joint,I've encountered quite a few rude employees,one was treating me poorly because I had some issues with self checkout,another one was the manager being rude at checkout,and another was this rude customer that I thought worked there,and she was very cold and didn't seem to want to be bothered as I was asking her what isle the peanut butter was in,instead she was to busy on her phone,so I dismissed it,another incident I had here a few months ago where I accidently left my phone in the carrage,my friend went back in there to see if anyone seen it,they said no,well almost half hour later,I decided to call and double check,as I was a total wreck,and finally the customer service told me it was there,so I ran and got it back,thank goodness,however my friend told me they looked as if they knew it was there all along,they were contemplating on not giving it back,my friend noticed,horrible place!!!! Please take your business to Market basket instead!! The manager there is a total joke! Hopefully market basket will put them out if business for good!! ASAP!!!!
