99% humidity today and 0 dumpy smell. Nicely done. Also that tire pile is starting to rival the Simpsons. We need some fun playground companies to come grab these and turn garbage into community centerpieces.

I visited the RIRRC for the first time and had absolutely no idea where I was going. I stopped at the guest area and two lovely gentlemen showed me where to go. One even escorted me every step of the way which I very much appreciated because I get lost all the time 😅. The employee at the recycling area was very helpful and sweet. I felt comfortable and safe as a woman being there and will be back! ((I recycled a year's worth of cardboard boxes from deliveries for my Mom and mattress bags amongst other plastic bags as well))

Hi there! Our apologies for the delay, we just recently recieved login access to this account. Your chair is safe for disposal in the regular trash.
Does it have the triangle with the recycling aroows symbol on it?
Really? It's a landfill... They've been piling trash there for decades. What do you think is causing the smell? 🤔
Only on eco depot days which is usually 1 Saturday a month unless noted differently . Check website for schedule of eco depot days
Yes it is . Just stop at main scale when you get to the landfill and they can direct you where to go
The *best* way to dispose of leaves is to go over them with a mower (preferably a mulching one), and let them decompose into your lawn. I've been doing this for maybe 5 years and it's so much easier than filling 20 yard bags. If you can't mow them, then rake them into paper yard bags and your local trash pickup should up the bags.
If I recall correctly from the tour I took with some students, you can bring shredded paper straight to RIRRC in a paper bag and they have a special collection area for it. But don't put it curb-side.
I have no idea. Maybe you should try contacting them directly.
I have no idea... Maybe contact RIRRC and ask them.
Depending on where you live contact the local sanitation department and they should be able to replace it if they can or maybe bring you a new one if they can't fix it
Nope.
I believe all Shaw's markets still them If not Again I believe that if u tie them up in a ball U. An put them in ur recycling bin
Hardcover books are not recyclable
I think they would just purposely made to be biodegradable and be able to break down instead of the insulated styrofoam
I have no idea... That's above my pay grade 😬
They need to go to the landfill considered trash as long as the paint isnt a lead based paint.
Hi Debi! Thanks for checking in with Resource Recovery. The only plastic bags eligible for recycling via Rhode Island's drop-off program are plastic bags/films that stretch. Treat bags are typically made from a hard plastic material that doesn't stretch. This material should be placed in the trash.
Hi Nina! There are several statewide options for electronics. Please follow the link and scroll down to "statewide options" to find one near you. http://atoz.rirrc.org/items/clothes-irons

I believe it denotes a type of plastic. Do you see it on the bottoms of plastic containers for food you get at the grocery store?
Absolutely not
By the bag its $8 and you can also buy it by the yard for $30 or half yard $15
If the cd player works re-use is the best. If broken, eco depo is the way to go.
I believe if truly paper & not food-stained. Eg, if the plate held chips: ok. If held mac & cheese, with grease & cheese stuck to plate: no.
Well do the right thing. Clean up and take them to the landfill.
No, hoses cannot be recycled and they are a hazard to those workers in the recycling center as they can get caught in the machinery and jam it but more importantly workers might be injured.
You'd be better off tweeting your question to RIRRC on Twitter. That feed is well monitored by RIRRC staff.
