Such a wonderful spot! A bridge, a beach, a short mile walk, a historic house along the way with a gift shop, and the greatest photo spot! Great place to bring guests and to tourist. There's a river that merges to the ocean so it's nice for the little ones and doggys as most spots are only a couple inches deep. Parking is about $5 per the last time we went.

Heceta Head lighthouse is beautiful and very much worth the stop. There is a $5 free which is paid through a credit card only kiosk. (Master card and Visa) You're given a ticket which must be displayed on your vehicle's dash. You then begin the very easy hike to the lighthouse with several information stands along the way. The lighthouse itself is very enchanting. We went on a cloudy day that allowed us to see the functioning light. They do not allow you to go up to the light; however, you can go inside. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. They told us about the lighthouse in such a way the kiddos listened happily. There is a gift shop with plenty of wonderful souvenirs to choose from as well as a beach that is absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend stopping by the lighthouse on your journey along the Oregon coast.

Love this location!!! Wish I could live here. Absolutely idyllic setting. What more could a nature lover yearn for... Ocean, Forest, Beach, Cliffs, Old Trees, Animal life, Rocks, and Expansive View. Did I mention I could live here. There is a nominal parking fee of $5 AND it's card only. The walk up to the lighthouse might offer slight challenge to folks out of shape or injuries but it very doable. It is a well maintained pathway. There is a cute souvenir store on the premises too. And if you want a Full immersion stay in the former lighthouse attendant home which is now an bed and breakfast. Also checkout the nearby sea lion grotto.

Wow! Just beautiful! It's just a shirt hike to see this amazing piece of American History still working. Got to your the ground floor as the upper floor is not built for large and continuous crowds. Still worth the visit, the view and fresh air!!!

Yes, there is a $5 parking fee. We also accept the annual Oregon State Park's Day Use pass and Oregon coastal passport. You must display a valid pass in your window of your vehicle at all times.
The Volunteers might not be there for tours of the light house. Its open 7 days a week.
You'd have to contact the parks department to get that information.
The RV parking lot was empty as we passed it. It looked like a large lot. It is just east of the bridge, but there was a lot of bridge repair construction going on at the time.
There is no longer public access to the interior of the Lighthouse.
Yes it is. I however would keep my dog on a lead. Just in case.
I think that would be awesome if you could, and I'm assuming your counting bride, groom, officiant, and 2 witnesses. But I'm sorry I can't help I'm just on my way to see it but I think if u were to do it it would depend on how big it is inside where u would want to do it.
The only time the lighthouse its self is open is when they are full staffed. There is a sign that explains that at the gift shop half way up. Masks are required due to new state guidelines that you must be masked even outside. It's a lovely walk and takes about 20 mins. The views from the top are gorgeous on a sunny day. You do have to pay the day pass, but for 5 bucks you can go on any state park so it is worth it if you're tripping around for the day. We also went to the Doons and our pass worked there so keep track of it. Oregon coast is magnificent, so enjoy it! 😉
