Grace is incredibly talented. Her sessions are from start to finish, special, relaxing, and peaceful. Grace's small touches (welcome bag, tour of the facility, goodbye treat) and concerns for safety are unparalleled. Each minute of my massage was excellent. Thank you again!

I am terrible at remembering to leave reviews but I needed to remember this one. I have been to Graceful Touch Massage Therapy twice and have scheduled myself for future appointments to make sure I don’t have to wait to long to get back in to see Grace. She is wonderful. The entire experience is so relaxing. Once you walk through her door you are transformed to a spa oasis. The smell of calming aroma, the relaxing music is just the beginning. Grace chats with you to understand what your trouble areas are and specializes her approach based on your comfort level. Both times I have left floating out of her office. I would recommend Grace to anyone who is searching for some real needed “me” time and wants a professional experience. Grace offers that. You can tell she loves her craft and has perfected it. You will not be disappointed. Millie - South Glens Falls, NY

Grace is so professional. Before my first massage she explained everything, muscles she would be working on, the add ons, and made sure I felt comfortable. Not only did she professionally explain everything she chatted with me before to get to know me a bit. She's fantastic about reminders before appointments and I absolutely love the cup of tea on my way out the door. I've never been so happy with a massage before, and most definitely will be coming back often!

I had the pleasure today of having a deep tissue massage with Grace for the first time. From start to finish I was impressed! Her attention to detail and efforts made to get to know me and what areas I would like to focus on was so appreciated. The massage was spectacular!! Her practice was clean and refreshing. I was sure to book my next appointment before I left. Absolutely would recommend Grace to anyone looking for an amazing massage!

Do I need to shave my legs before getting a massage?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019

This is a question that’s asked by both women and men. To answer: You NEVER have to shave your legs before coming in for a massage. Hair doesn’t make it impossible to massage over muscles. In fact, it’s BEST to avoid shaving your legs because of the risk of nicks and cuts which will then make it a contraindication, making your leg an area to avoid during your massage. So, it’s not a good idea to shave your legs immediately before your massage.

Do I have to get undressed to get a massage?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019
Jeff inNY | Sep 9, 2019

You do not have to completely disrobe, however, it makes getting a massage more productive. I always leave my briefs on.

With the mask mandate lifted, is wearing a mask at Graceful Touch Massage Therapy still required?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Mar 12, 2022
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Mar 12, 2022

Yes, because I work with clients that are vaccinated and unvaccinated(for health reasons)masks will be required. As there’s no way to stay a few feet apart when working together, to protect each other, masks will be worn in the office. I will look at things again in the near future.

Are masks still required at Graceful Touch Massage Therapy even though I’m fully vaccinated and most places aren’t requiring people to wear a mask?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2021
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2021

Due to the variants and the quickness of spread, masks are REQUIRED for both vaccinated and unvaccinated clients. I don’t ask clients what their status is regarding vaccines. To be as safe as possible for both myself and clients, masks will be worn at Graceful Touch Massage Therapy.

If I’m vaccinated, will I still need to wear a mask when I’m in the office and while getting a massage?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2021
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2021

Yes, because both vaccinated and non vaccinated clients will be coming in to receive massage therapy sessions, masks will still be worn when in the office.

Why do I have to remove my shoes at the door?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020

The soles of our shoes are covered in different bacteria and germs, so to prevent them from spreading further, I’m requesting my clients remove their shoes as soon as they enter the office. If your feet get cold or you’re uncomfortable going barefoot throughout the office, I’ll have freshly bleached socks for you to wear after you remove your shoes.

What are your plans to protect me and yourself since the service I’m booking can’t be conducted 6 feet away?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy has put in place new policies and procedures to help keep us as healthy and safe as possible. Some of the new policies and procedures include myself and clients wearing masks when entering my office and when face up on the massage table. When facedown masks cane be pulled down or removed so that you can breathe into my AMAZING AromaBag! Shoes must also be removed at the door to help prevent the spread of germs by the soles of the shoes. As always, I’ll be washing my hands up to the elbows for 20-30 seconds. I’ll be wearing protective eye wear as well. Because GOOD ventilation is key when working closely with you, I’ll be opening my 2 HUGE windows and running 4 fans to pull the air inside my treatment room outside and pulling in lots of FRESH air in for the time we’re working together. These are just some of the things that I’m doing to protect you and myself during these unprecedented times we’re in. They’re greatly appreciated by clients.

How often are you cleaning?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020

I’ve always followed my state board guidelines and recommendations for thorough cleaning and disinfecting. However, I’ve now taken them a step further to incorporate more disinfecting protocols for when I open and close Graceful Touch Massage Therapy and between each client. During opening and closing, I’m now initiating hand sanitizer in the waiting/checkout area. Between clients I’ve added in more time to thoroughly clean and disinfect my ENTIRE office before my next scheduled client as well as having a really good ventilation system in my treatment room for fresh air to constantly flow while we work closely together.

Why do I have to make an appointment/why are you not taking walk-ins?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020

I’ve decided to not take in walk in appointments to ensure that I’m following the CDC guidelines and recommendations for the amount of people I have in my office at one time. This helps me to better plan and prepare for the day to ensure I’m promoting the best health and wellness for my clients and myself. Allowing walk ins would not allow me to control the number of clients I have in my office and will not allow enough time in between clients to properly clean and disinfect my entire office for the safest possible experience. I appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Do I have to wear a mask/why do I have to wear a mask?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2020
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 8, 2021

Yes, in order for all of us to remain healthy and for Graceful Touch Massage Therapy to remain open, I have implicated the new rule of masks being worn to best protect you and myself as well as to slow the spread of COVID-19. I will be wearing a mask the entire time I’m in my office. I understand masks can be uncomfortable, but at this time a mask must be worn as per the CDC recommendation. If you cannot wear a mask for a period of time, please do not schedule your appointment at this time. If/when the mask requirement changes, I will be sure to let you know. Thank you for your cooperation.

Well that would be pretty rude. Especially if someone else wants to get in on that time slot but can't. Have the decency to call can cancel or message Grace.

How often should I schedule my massage therapy sessions?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019

For stress reduction or very minor issues you may have, once a month massage therapy session is recommended. If you have higher stress levels in your life or any pain, you would benefit from a massage therapy session every 2 weeks. The IMPORTANT thing to remember is: REGULAR, not sporadic massage therapy sessions will help your body and mind take full advantage of the benefits that occurs when REGULAR massage therapy sessions are incorporated.

How should I expect to feel AFTER my massage therapy session?

Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019
Graceful Touch Massage Therapy | Sep 9, 2019

Everybody is different after a massage therapy session, but you can expect to feel relaxed for many hours after your massage session. If you had a therapeutic massage session where NMT (NeuroMuscular Therapy) or deeper pressure was applied during the session, you may feel some soreness in your muscles the next day or a few days afterward. THIS IS NORMAL. After your massage session, it’s recommended that you avoid exercise or any heavy physical work for the rest of the day.

I’m self -conscious about parts of my body and would like to get a massage. What should I do?

DEFINITELY make an appointment for a massage and come in!! I work with clients of all shapes, sizes, colors, genders and people with all types of medical conditions. If you feel more comfortable covered, I can work through the sheet and blanket. My only concern is that you feel comfortable and safe. My office is a judge free zone and I look forward to meeting and working with you!

Do you take walk in appointments?

Grace McDonald | Sep 9, 2019
Grace McDonald | Sep 9, 2019

No, I do not take walk in appointments. All my appointments are scheduled ahead of time because my schedule gets filled VERY quickly. I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and I do REQUIRE a credit card to hold your appointment which doesn’t allow for walk in appointments. I do however on a RARE occasion have an appointment available on the same day.
