Technician was almost 4 hours late for a 8-12 appointment, showing up at 3:45pm. Work was mediocre at best. Extra primer is all over my painted hatch and the bead for the window sealer is not even close to even, spilling out in certain areas. I'd be honestly surprised if this seals properly during a Florida down-pour. We've found huge puddles of water and glass all over the rear of the hatch which was not cleaned up properly. Now the car smells of mold, which is just fantastic! Price was the lowest around, but I would have payed more for decent service and a hint of professionalism. Clearly you get what you pay for. I'd avoid Glass Doctor at all costs. They do absolutely garbage work.

Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken to reduce the risk of significant injuries to the person breaking it. Using safety glass, of which “tempered” is one type, is mandated by state building codes in specific applications like doors, sidelights, showers, etc. Please call Glass Doctor if you want more information on this topic.
Yes! We do replace rollers if needed. Of course, we try to clean the tracks and rollers and adjust first. If that does not work, we will discuss replacing the rollers for you.
Scratch removal in residential glass and light commercial applications is not a commercially viable solution. Basically, it is labor-intensive and not very successful. Furthermore, if the customer is not satisfied with the result, they are understandably not willing to pay for the time and materials invested by the glass company. Scratch removal and scratch buffing systems exist; however, they are typically only practical in warehouses, industrial, and on larger commercial glass projects. Please call our Glass Doctor office if you would like a more detailed explanation.
We specialize in glass replacement. We can, in most cases, remove the glass from the frame and install new glass. Your existing window sash will remain.
Most likely. However, if the mirror is glued to the wall, there is no guarantee that it can be taken down without breaking. If you can get the existing mirror off the wall, we will need the mirror brought to our shop to cut down. There is no guarantee that the mirror will cut without breaking either. We cannot be responsible if a piece of glass or mirror that belongs to a customer breaks when trying to cut it, but we always do our best to cut carefully.
Yes Bruce, all of our glass services are performed with free mobile. We actually do not even receive customers at our Sarasota location anymore because our customers prefer the mobile service. Is it your vehicle in need of glass repair, a home or a business?
