I've had 3 sets of injections in my back. To this day my back hurts worse than before and my last appointment I had to cancel because of vomiting and Diarrhea. Today my PCP referred me to go back to the Ramos Center. I called them to make an appointment and they insisted I pay 100 Dollars for a missed visit even though I had called them and Medicare and Medicaid refused to pay since I was never in the office. The RNP was very rude and refused to help me so I left the office with a sore back. I WOULD NOT REFER RAMOS CENTER TO ANYONE DUE TO THE TREATMENT I RECEIVED. I AM A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL MYSELF AND I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED THIS BAD THEN I WAS AT THE RAMOS CENTER. I WOULD RATE THEM WITH A BIG FAT 0 THE ENTIRE STAFF HAS ATTITUDE PROBLEMS. NOW I HAVE TO USE A WHEELCHAIR TO GET AROUND!!!

A patient always has a choice in declining a medical treatment. This “dr” abruptly stopped a medication that is the only thing that helps for my muscle spasms. Without knowing what type of metal I have in my back, he ordered an MRI and told me I had no choice but to get his nerve blocking injection without even knowing what my spine and condition truly was. When he told me I must have the injection, I pointed out that the paperwork I signed said I would CONSIDER treatment modalities. As a healthcare professional myself I found his mannerism disgusting and despicable. To have a physician disregard my intelligence and my body autonomy is beyond words. Funny enough when I went to get the imaging done, I had a good conversation with the medical staff about how unprofessional and horrible the Ramos clinic is. Needless to say I won’t be letting the Ramos clinic anywhere NEAR my back nor would I trust Ramos to do any injections on me or anyone I love. Be advised. *Update: After picking up a copy of my imaging results I’m not surprised to find that Ramos was wrong about there being any disc compression causing the pain in my back. He would’ve done an injection anyways. Gross.

Dr. Danielle Babb was wonderful. She was the most kind, informative and compassionate doctor I’ve ever dealt with. I find most doctors make feel like a Number on a checklist quickly trying to scoot me out & on to the next patient. That was not the case here- I was SO scared and she talked me through everything, helped keep me calm & when I wasn’t able to stay calm she helped me back to a calm state. She was so compassionate and it made the whole experience better. Super thankful to have had Dr Danielle Babb work with me. It makes a huge difference when you feel like the doctor genuinely cares.

I have been seeing Dr. Ramos and his associate Nurse Practitioner Janine for at least 8 years now. Janine is knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. I have numerous health problems and she tackles them all head on, making adjustments when necessary. I know I am in the best hands. I don't know where I would be without the team at their office. The office staff is kind, compassionate and efficient. The girls that deal with the medications and refills, Beverly and Andrea are always informed and kind. I have never gone without my meds, thanks to these two angels. You should at least go for a consult. They have so different ways to deal with pain, there's no reason to suffer.

Does this facility accept Staywell insurance?

Not sure? Call & ask? They should? Its a real large facility, very professional, & posh..... I am impressed! Call them, they cam answer any questions. I do know you need proof of illness, Injury to get into pain management by your scans, images, labs, or any reflecting medical records from specialty Drs. that show reason why you need & qualify for treatment, or pain management, and your not allowed to be on medicinal marijuana and be accepted by this facility. That is the process i just went through to become a patient there. You will be very happy with the Facility and how compassionate tbey are ... It's hard enough being sick, or in pain day after day. But, they can sort out your specific case and fighre out a care plan of action for your needs accordingly to your medical history & referring Drs. You need a referral and all that... Good Luck & Be in Good Health....

Ramos Center for Interventional & Functional Pain Medicine Bradenton, FL | Sep 9, 2019

Hi Mike! It depends on the type of insurance you have as co-pays and deductables vary. If you are non-insured and paying with cash the prices can vary based on the services your provider recommends. Your best bet would be to give our new patient department a call and speak with them so they can get a more detailed background on your pain and medical history. 941-708-9555. Thank you for reaching out.
