Earlier this year we bought a condo as a place to escape to during our harsh northern winters. We immediately started researching property management companies to watch over the condo during our absence as well as coordinating rental opportunities. When we entered the main office unannounced, we were greeted by a very personable and energetic Toby MacDonald, real estate broker/owner. Toby gave us all the time we needed, and explained in great detail how Horse & Chaise works and what we could expect from them. My wife and I knew right then that our search was over. Since signing on with them, Horse & Chaise's performance has far exceeded our expectations. Their advice, recommendations, referrals, and marketing ensured everything was ready for occupancy and our condo was successfully rented the first day it went on the market. There are a lot of "little things" that Horse & Chaise does - like accepting in our absence deliveries of misc. items to go into our condo, thorough inspections including capturing all the information on every appliance, tax ID registration, account management, etc. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with our choosing Horse & Chaise as our property manager, and give them the highest recommendation. Seasonal and short term rentals do not require a formal application since all monies will be collected in advance. Please speak with one of our Agents and they can get you started in the process. If you are applying for an Annual or long term rental, we do require an online or paper application accompanied by a $50 application fee to cover the credit and background check. Once completed, the application will be screened and evaluated to our Rental Selection Criteria. You will receive notice of approval or rejection and move forward accordingly. Depends on the unit you want to rent & also on the time of year. Cheaper by almost half from April thru November on most units. Check out their website for more specifics.
