I've shopped here for years, great selection, lots of cool stuff HOWEVER whoever decided to put that cart rack in the middle of the driveway needs their head(s) examined.

This is a revision of my previous two star review. After my previous post, management reached out to address my concerns. They were professional, respectful, and acknowledged my concerns from my recent shopping experience. I am confident they are addressing the issues and will provide guidance/direction /training to their associates as necessary. Leadership understands the importance of premier customer service and the challenges to achieve it. Original 2 Star Post Let me start by saying MRT has a great inventory. If they don't have it, you don't need it. A little on the high side regarding price, but expected. Now the reason for two stars. I took my wife to MRT to buy some hand painted Mexican pots for her birthday. We found two 15" pots she liked for $109 each. She also found a 17" marked $109 as well. It also had a price sticker for $159. Both stickers were clearly marked 17". We took the three pots to checkout, and I pointed out the price / size stickers to a young man tending the register. He said it was $159 and "all 17" pots were $159". I pointed out that the $109 sticker clearly said 17" pot. He came back "that's an old price sticker and should be removed." He did not offer to honor the $109 price as marked and I perceived him to be belligerent and rude. This young man obviously needs some guidance in customer relations. Most of the older associates are accommodating and customer focused. Before retiring in 2005, I had a 32 year career with a major grocery retailer. Many of those years were in management and I know a little about customer service. This young man did not handle the situation as I would expect. Premier customer service requires training and understanding your customers wants, needs, and desires. And to meet and exceed their expectations. I expected to be treated better. If it hadn't been my wife's birthday, I would have left the pots on the checkout counter and taken my business elsewhere. Which is what I will do in the future. Premier customer service = value added shopping experience. Lastly, I found it surprising that the price for the 17" pot was $109 and the price had increased $50 to $159. Quite a jump! So, it wasn't about the price per se as much as the experience. I wasn't a RAVING fan.

Great choice of all kinds of pots. Huge inventory of exterior deco items, BBQ, etc.The plants are healthy and a wide variety. The staff is quick to help if needed.

Not sure if MRT has it.... I use Stokes Tropicals.....on line ... Have had good luck w them but not used them recently. There is a big nursery in Sarasota that I have used in the past .not sure of the name of it but it's one one of the major roads between 75 and 41.... On the left coming from 75..... I saw this hibiscus the other night... I want one too😊
Black on a plant, especially if you can scrape it off a little with your thumb, is usually sooty mold. Chances are there's ants on your plant and aphids blow them up with a good stream of water and then spray your plant with a little vinegar solution that should take care of it. Don't do this when it's sunny

MRT has bulk bins for rocks that are sold by the total weight. They have flat rocks that customers frequently purchase to paint on. The best part about it is you can select the exact rock(s) that you would like, and you pay for it by the weight. Hope this helped!
