Interesting short tour. I personally knew very little about President Truman but the look into his private home proved he was most definitely a common man and not one brought up in politics. Our tour guide, Richard, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer each and every question thrown at him. I Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to take a walk into the past. Ps. Richard, sorry I misbehaved and got off the carpet. 😉🤣

Had the most amazing time at the Truman museum, followed by an excellent tour. The volunteer ranger Jeff was very knowledgeable and kind. His insight and detailed descriptions of Truman’s home were very memorable. He created a lasting memory for my father and I. Would recommend this experience to anyone. Thank you to Jeff again!!

The house was an awesome visit to cap off the Truman Museum. The Park Ranger was knowledgeable and gracious with his time. It's free was another bonus

We were blessed that 219 Delaware has recently reopened for ranger-led tours ! What a gem! The house has been living preserved according to Bess’ will. It is unexpectedly homey for a man of such stature. Worth the time to learn about the President and First Lady. Across the street is another home you can tour as well that Truman’s aunt and uncle owned. When you stop by the visitor’s center to sign up for the tour, take a peak at the book with photos of the 2nd floor. You won’t be able to tour that part of the house. Sorry no photos allowed in the home.

Admission is free but you have to get an admission ticket from the visitor center
The Tabriz railway station is very clean and located in the center of the city, but for those who are waiting for a lot of time in the station, there is no resting place, but I also want to emphasize that there are many people with hospitality and hospitality.
Bess Wallace (Truman), married Harry S. Truman in 1919, and they continued to live in their home, now part of the Harry S. Truman National Historic Site. They lived there off and on during his time in the Senate and White House, and returned after. They both lived there, with former President Truman dying there in 1972, and Bess continued to live there until her death in 1982, at which time she gave the site to the National Park Service.
When we went we just showed up. We could have reserved a ticket and joined a tour that would have enhanced our experience. Either way it's a great place to visit.
Lamar Missouri is where be was born. He lived in Independence after office
I know that the museum just down the road is closed for renovations, but I'm not quite certain about the house. I went there about 3 weeks ago on a Sunday and they were not open, (during the week of record cold temperatures), but I don't know if they regularly open on weekends or not.
Since there are limited spaces for each tour, you actually need to go to the Visitor Center first to get a ticket. The visitor center is located at 223 N Main St, Independence MO, 64050, (816) 254-2720.
Tour sizes are kept small (8 people), so all 30 of you would be unable to go at the same time. Contact the Parks Service at 816-254-2720 to discuss scheduling. Some of your party could tour the Noland House and others could view the informational video about Truman while others view the house. The group can then rotate through the activities.
Government run they take all legal holidays
