A really nice little lake for families. Well maintained beach, loads of picnic tables and grills, kayaking and more. The swimming area only gets about 5' deep, so it's really safe for kids.

Before leaving for the state park, I checked their website for rules on dogs. Only says they need to be on a leash. Didn't say anything about them not being allowed on the beach. Wasted 2 hours of my time driving out there especially with these current gas prices. Something like that should be on the website plain as day

A fantastic place, rain or shine. Well maintained and accessible trail system and great for fisherman. Good beach access and great for kids. Good all around.

Whipple Dam Trail was a short and pleasant trail offering much to see and if you're lucky you may see some bald eagles. Easy 2.5 mile walk with minimal elevation.

Not that I know of I've been out there but I've never caught any trout there
Yes most are not sure what is included with them some have propane tanks on the outside possibly for heat and / or stove. We have a camp there so never stayed in the cabins.
