Ive been gone since 1987, when there was a big clubhouse on a hill and swimming pools for little ones and one nearby for adults. I didnt see either places in the photos. The clubhouse, had a weight room, locker rooms, and event areas, but was always under-utilized in those days. Sad to see the changes to go primarily to a tennis park theme. It was a family-oriented, fun gathering place and go to for us kids during the hot summers. I truly miss the way it was. But, I hope it is still thriving. Welleby was a great neighborhood to grow up in- in the 80's . The cul de sacs made rollerskating and bicycling safe for youngsters and each block were full of new friends to meet and spend time with.
