PARADISE FOR DOGS. I have been a local Floridian for 20+ years and haven’t found a nice park to bring my dog for a day play date. So happy I came here! The lake is absolutely gorgeous with nice blue water and plenty of room to throw toys. My husky and Aussie had the best time! The dog park is also very spacious and has plenty of obstacle courses. Best of all, it’s FREE!! Which nowadays it’s refreshing to not have to spend a bunch of money on the weekend to have fun.

We took our 6 month old baby dog to the dog park and to the lake. She had so much fun a met so many new cute friends! They were swimming together, running and playing for an hour. After that she was sleeping like there’s no tomorrow, I’m so happy that she is happy, we are definitely coming back! If you have a dog don’t hesitate and bring them here. If you don’t, they also have an amazing lake inside the park with views and bridges that are stunning.

Doggie Oasis: Tucked away on the southeast side of Broward County, hides Snyder Park. Mostly known by locals for catering to their furry friends, you don’t have to have a pooch to enjoy the view, games, barbie, butterflies and edible garden. If you are looking to take a short nature hike in the middle of the city, this might be the perfect spot. It sure was for me this morning with my old bud Tyson, a robust 7 year old mutt who knows all the best parks in town.

This dog park is beautiful! My pup loved this park and he was able to swim and play with other dogs.

Online it says they will be open christmas day, best to give them a call tomorrow to know for sure.
I am at the Park now and the lake is back operational and there are 2 black labs and 1 golden retriever in there fetching tennis balls as we speak.
.yes 2 shot
Not sure if they are still offering for vax yet, there are many other sites throughout Ft Lauderdale on the Broward Website. You can also call if that is easier for you. They were very polite and professional. Park is huuuge btw and can accomodate plenty of folks.
Yes All Fresh Water you need a license. They sell them at the Park.
Snyder Park has a dog park that you can walk your dog on without a leash it's all fenced in or you can walk your dog on a leash but I don't recommend it they also have a dog lake that your dog can swim or play in but there are areas of the park that dogs are not allowed it's an awesome place to take your dog and to go without your dog
Close at 3.
Yes. There's an area for big dogs and a separate one for small dogs. The big dog area has agility equipment (ramps, etc)
I payed $ 1 just for the parking lot! I am not familiar with the all rules. Yesterday was my first time there!
I used to take my dogs there and they were always getting ear infections so i dont anymore since i saw all the garbage that pills up by the Cascade. Some bad apples can get they stuff and place it where belongs and the parks department wont cleaning it up either so i rather take the drive and go to the dog beach or p-pups lake.
Not a problem. They've had them but it's not common at all
Illiterate!!!
You need to call them and ask because it's a hit or miss as they do treat the lake.
I really wish I hadn't volunteered myself to be the guinea pig for this. Run down and unkempt. Fairways had grass that could be as high as your knees. Most of tee signs were destroyed or weathered beyond reading. Of the holes that I could find, most of them were uninspired. With the basic requirements for a good drive being keep it low and throw it righthanded backhand with a slight hyzer. I found the entire experience to be a waste of time and entirely unenjoyable. And all the mandos felt really out of place like they were just picked at random. If the course was in perfect condition i would rate 3/5 as it is now 0/5.
It's Frrsh Water indeed. Just get out there early in the day & earlier in the month.
I'm not sure but the Fort Lauderdale Park Ranger that frequents there has Alot of info. They may have the answers you seek.
If I were you I would go to the office and see if you could advertise. There is another great way. There are farmers markets held There every 1st and 3rd Sat every month. It is only 50$ to open your own booth
You can play disc golf there everyday.
No when I was there they was no vaccinated people there
Yes, the dog park is still open!
Sorry but no. It's a vaccination site for the Pfizer vaccine.
No. Snyder Park replaced Holiday Park. Go to broward.gov for updates.
Best info from city and county I found would be yes.
I was just a visitor.. Probably not. It is a pristine nature area. Can call them and ask.
From what I have seen dogs are only allowed in the dog park and in the dog lake
Yes, you can fish there. There is a catch and release in the back pond.
People are susceptible to brain-eating amoeba.
If dogs can swim, why can't humans??? Is this just so that people and dogs don't swim together for liability reason? Otherwise if the water is "safe" for dogs, then it must be for humans too??? If not, then it's not safe for dogs either. I'd like an official answer.
Not a hundred percent positive, but it was open last weekend
Monday through Friday is free. Saturday and Sunday parking is $1 a hour or $5 for the day
Hours 7am to 7pm. Fees Weekends and holidays $1/hr. Max $5
No you don't have only if you going to park and I think depends where to
It's a good idea to have your rabies tag with you everywhere. No requirements though, $1 an hour to park.
It's mainly for picknick and dog park. I don't see fire pits, but they have grills
I saw people fishing when I was there.
Snyder Park is not the place for fishing. The pier or down in the Keys are the best!!
Yes,they said,7 am to 7 pm
No. Monday through Friday the park has free entrance. On the weekend they charge an entrance fee per person. I think it's a dollar. There is no separate parking fee.
No.
The office isn't usually open but you can kind of just wander around the park by yourself I've never used a map of been there 3 times
