First, Sherri is the nicest and most helpful person I’ve ever talked to at a campsite. We visited on a short camping trip. The park is beautiful. The scenery is spectacular. The camping areas and facilities are very well maintained. All the staff was super helpful. They have eight or ten primitive sites. Maybe six of them are along the road where the picnic shelters are located, with clean bathrooms in east walking distance. Full shade, mulch tent pad, room for one vehicle to park. Each has a fire ring with a cooking grate on the fire ring. No electric, no water. Two are located across the pond from the gift shop. Two or three more up the hill, accessed directly off the park road. All these appear to have a similar setup to the ones adjacent to the picnic shelters. We stayed over a holiday weekend and we were the only campers in the picnic shelter area. Kinda weird cause not what we’re accustomed to but nicely silent! Only regret here is that we couldn’t stay longer, looking forward to going back. Thanks, Kingdom Come!

Beautiful is an understatement. The people are very friendly. The trees are unique and expansive. The architecture in this park is cool and it offers a breathtaking view.

We do most of the time. Right now we are waiting on new stock. We currently have some with Letcher County and some with the Pine Mountain Trail on them. Sometimes we have groups come to the park that empty our stock.
You better get one so nobody else has it on your day.
Too early according to the Ranger from yesterday (3/16). He said to come back around mid April.
