Monday through Friday they serve the biggest and best (nutritional and flavorful) meal in San Francisco. I have been going through some rough financial times and these magical humans have helped me through. I am very thankful and have a full belly.

It's a beautiful and amazing, wonderful place to relax and enjoy yourself with people who are like yourself and also the volunteers who come too give a helping hand are people from all walks of life different beliefs and culture come together to get United in helping one another out. Also it's a place too get away for a little while, and you are looking for just a soothing, loving conversation or your in need of good advice that's the place to go. And they are the only place that opens up at 5.30am too serve hot tea and some pasteries. And at 6.00am it's nice and hot and steamy with a verity of fruit a bowl of oatmeal also a good and organic wholesome lunch. Now that's what I'm talking about when your homeless, feeling down and out or even just curious and want to know what is St Martin de Porres hospitality house is all about you don't have to be homeless too go and eat or like I said just curious well come on in and enjoy yourself.

The people who serve the food are great people who absolutely care about you. Its a family that you never had. I myself was a volunteer for over 4 straight years at a inner Mission district food pantry and hot meals. Its a very valuable experience. I learned how to love all people, no matter where they are from. Martin De Porres has the same volunteers who love all people, because we are all one people, one very large family. By the way they provide showers and toiletries. Call in for more info on times and days for the showers and toiletries. Thank you, Adam

Martin's is both a great place for eating and a great place for volunteering! The organization is entirely run by volunteers and funded entirely by donations (it receives no city, state, or federal funding.) The food is delicious and largely vegetarian. The service is kind. The garden is beautiful. It is a very special place.
