Unlike calling Masshealth, calling BMC is a pleasant call. The agents are not rude, they are very helpful!

The provider list is inaccurate as it hasn’t been updated in quite a long time. The first 3 docs I reached out to are no longer accepting this insurance and I was told it had been several years since one of the docs was even with that facility. Extremely frustrating. The insurance company uses the same list we use and had assigned a doc that hasn’t been with them for a few years! This is difficult to navigate when you have cognitive issues. Nobody really cares about people anymore.

BMC HealthNet has been a nightmare for our household. Their data is inaccurate. They switched one of us to a new medication and declined to pay for the old medication even though they could not provide an in-network doctor to help us make the transition (for example, by giving us instructions for taking the medication.) They have repeatedly failed to get the coverage right -- just this week they told us that one person's coverage was cancelled retroactively back to two months ago. We have spent dozens of hours on the phone trying to straighten out these problems, but the BMC HealthNet phone representatives are totally unable to help us. It also appears that BMC HealthNet has no effective communication with MassHealth Connector. Today we've called MassHealth Connector and been told that there is valid coverage with BMC HealthNet, and we've called BMC HealthNet and been told that there is no coverage.

IT'S TERRIBLE INSURANCE. It seems like an affordable option and the Health Connector will tell you that they cover all sorts of doctors or facilities, but once you actually need to be seen "they don't contract" with them. I have no idea how this company is allowed to get away with this. I'm talking basic hospitals that will not accept this insurance: Lahey Clinic, Brigham and Women's. These are not exotic hospitals. Who the hell sets up an insurance company and doesn't contract with the largest hospitals in the region?

I keep calling every number related to any of the offices and I get transferred to the same person’s voicemail and never get a call back. Horrible business practices here. Morning noon early or late all week days and no answer EVER! Just transfers to voicemail every single time. I think we should all go to the locations directly and knock on the door. I bet there’s no one in the offices at all. Just a joke

As far as i know they don't work on weekends Ana!
Call them and ask. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Every hospital takes mass health.
I would like to know the answer to that question to
Call member services and request one to be sent to you
the best way to get insurance if that's what this is about. is to keep calling. eventually you'll get someone who is nice and or helpful. or if you already have insurance best to do the same with the insurance ppl. thats what i had to do. i just kept calling everyday till i got someone who actually helped me.
Give them a call, They will be happy to assist you with that.
Call the bmc number on your card.they will email or mail you a list of all providers who accept bmc. You also can choose a different Mass health plan.bmc is difficult
If you have Mass Health, find any optometrists that accepts Mass Health. Frames are limited but nice. They will only pay for plain glass, no bifocals, shaded glasses. If bifocals they will pay for two pairs vs one actual bifocal glass (with the line).
I would call member services, get a referral from PCP or look on the back of your card and call the number for Behavioral Services
Anywhere. You don't need a referral of they're inside your network. Or you can ask your PCP. Also, look up pain management and what health plans they take
How long will it take to switch from bmc?
Usually pharmacies provide guests with medication delivery at a cost. Talk to your bmchp social worker or customer service about bmchp covering the delivery costs.
Call mass health. If this is true you should have received a letter.
I think you have to go on MA Connector to pay.
There's a number on your card to callfor service questions

You can see what providers are available under your plan’s network by using the Find a Provider tool on our website. You can search by the type of doctor, name of doctor or facility, zip code, special services offered, or whether they are accepting new patients.
The most current way to find doctor's available in your plan's network is to use the Find a Provider tool on our website. You can search by the type of doctor, name of doctor or facility, zip code, special services offered, or whether they are accepting new patients.
I'd suggest you hang up and call back
A 1099-HC is a tax document provided by your health insurance company that you will need for completing your tax return.
BMC HealthNet Plan does not offer dental insurance to Mass Health members under the age of 65. However, dental coverage for kids is available under some ConnectorCare and Qualified Health Plans. You can also check your benefit documents to see what's covered under your plan.
When you get married you may qualify to change your health plan. If you have a ConnectorCare or Qualified Health Plan you will call the MA Health Connector to inform them of the change. If you have Mass Health then you will contact them directly to make any changes.
