I was told there's an eligibility issue even tho I had an interview already it's been about 2 months an now. An on July 16th Im told I would receive a call on July 19th 2022 from 10 to 12. It is now 12:30 and I still haven't received a call. I can't even call to see why I haven't received because I'm told there's is too many calls to answer try again later ? But why am I told I have an APPOINTMENT INTERVIEW TODAY BUT I DONT GET A CALL THIS HAPPENED LAST MONTH JUST FOR THEM TO TELL ME TO WAIT 2 WEEKS TO SEE IF IM ELIGIBLE. I WAS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TODAY TO TALK TO SOMEONE . Sacramento CA where the workers all hate their jobs an don't help others that need it

I just spoke to one person only to not get any help and that was in Spanish it is very frustrating trying to deal with then EDD I was told I had to appeal and need to fill out form 2500A which supposedly was send to me and need to fill out every two weeks nothing in my inbox of such form or have I received anything in the regular mail from them and if you don't file with a certain time you loose that money how can that be when that is our money being paid into this program I wish I had the option to opt out from my employer from this program. Call the senator and get them involved to get something resolved and have them hold them accountable.

Extremely frustrating and ineffective government agency. I claimed for unemployment since I was laid off and it has been OVER 3 MONTHS and I have not received any status update or reply to any of my many emails on their website, and I have not reached anyone on the phone. It is always busy at any time of the day or week and I have made over 300 calls! Their turnaround time is supposedly at least three weeks for reviewing claims and ten days for responding to inquiries, none of which is met. This is a government agency and it is extremely frustrating to not reach anyone. I need information and it is crazy in this world of information and technology to not have access to vital information like this. It is so backwards.

Worst customer service ever. It pains me that I can only give them a rating as low as one star. Minus 10 stars should be their true rating. They say they are swamped and unable to cope. I don't believe them. The unemployment rate was much higher in the 2008 recession and this problem did not occur. I started my application on February 27 two days after I was let go. To date I have not gotten any of the money owed to me by them. I have called almost every day since March 1 and never have not been able to speak with a life person. If I was in prison I surely would have my money a lot sooner since they illegally and studiedly paid out half a billion dollars to them without any of them having to file a claim. I am considering filing a class action law suit against them.

Email the edd
All the edd offices are closed until the pandemic is completely over, only available by mail or phone
What I was told by a state worker and by automated voice teleprompt was that they are not able to help because of the high number of claims and fraud been told/forced to not be able to help anyone in order to alleviate the high numbers. They will tell you though that it is due to covid restrictions, but I guess they are not aware that until they themselves are in an unemployed predicament because of bad management with poor basic foreshadowing of crisis response, that they would need the benefits that they paid into at least acknowledged and for the people responsible to answer the phones and do their job. So to answer your question they are intentionally not answering the phones. This is unfortunately what they have to do in order to fix the fraud problem they're having.
No all edd buildings are closed until further notice ordered by the governor due to covid, it must all be done online edd.ca.gov
They are doing online only all the physical offices are closed since February thanks to governor
No the office is closed
It would be best to call the toll free number directly cancel your EDD
I honestly don't believe that this is the forum for persuading or dissuading anybody in their pursuit for an answer to a question that does not deserve an uneducated glance over. Now EDD's website will be happy to tell you what the criteria is for applying for EDD. And remember we are public posting about a government facility that is not even considering itself EDD for employees anymore but there is the franchise tax board side of it and is only accepting by phone an appointment to see someone there, and you will find out very quickly that it is only for EDD for business owners/employers and the self employed worker. I think we should just be using the Google maps for the reason of giving our feedback on its location and or accessibility. If people want opinions about certain businesses they should go to the Yelp app.
Absolutely yes. Submit your application on line. Upload photos of your ss card and driver's licence to the id.me location that the edd site directs you to. And wait.
All physical address edd offices are closed due to order of the United States all over the United States until the pandemic is completely over unemployment is only available online
You just need your I.D. number, social security number, email , last employers name, date last work, I believe the amount of last check, address as well as phone number, and once you've applied you usually receive your first payment in about a week.
What type of work you have
All public offices are closed ordered by Governor until September 2021 online or by phone is all that is available
