Nice park, although a bit hard to get to. Going to the park from First ave is both stinky and dangerous- the cars and trucks unloading are definitely not following any safety protocol. The park itself is nice, not a lot of people, but the trail in the back of the park through the trees is filled with lots of trash. Overall alright experience.

We went there for Eid Prayer in the park. Nice and beautiful place. Mayor Adams also joined the Muslim community there.

The view and scenery is very nice, especially with it being by the shore side, and there are some great recreational areas and really nice bathrooms, but unless you bring you own equipment or toys, there's not much to do besides enjoy the nature and serenity, which is amazing, especially for all the people that like to just get that breath of fresh air.

Nice quiet would be better if they added a dog park lots of people walk there dog around there & we don't have any where to let the dogs play. So much open space that could be turn into a dog park. Luckily the dogs listen & no1 was round passing with bikes

You can walk as far as your feet can get ya
Yes you can go fishing in certain areas. I am not sure if you can barbecue. But it's a beautiful place to go just to relax and breathe good and fresh air.
Nah bruv it's open all day
Entrance on 43 and 1st Avenue got to walk or drive all the way down, then slight left turn.
Luckily/wise the port authority has removed all the parking meters that month ago they installed (dums) and now the parking is free again👍 so you can park your car there and take the ferry to a different destinations worry free about paying more for parking than for the trip 🤷🏻♂️😁
8 to 4 pm
Because of the city budget, the city can't afford to keep Park employees there after certain time. And because it's along the water fear of someone falling into the water is a major reason why they closed early
The lot (sometimes full during warmer weekends) is at the end of 43rd on the water. Exit from 1st ave and pass the sometimes occupied guard house. Continue to end and turn left. You'll see the lot directly next to the 43rd entrance to the park.
They closed at 10:00 pm
Safe. Families gather there. Pretty damn safe. There is parking. This area has changed. Not like it used to be.
It's a nice quiet place. I love the bike path there and the views of ny harbor and the city
