This is a beautiful, well-tended property, including gardens. But the real highlight of our visit was the tour of the house. Our tour guides Ashley and Kay were outstanding; they shared historical information with our group but also engaged us in a thought-provoking conversation about the meaning of stewardship, legacy, and conservation. These young women gave me hope for the future.

My girls collect Junior Ranger badges so we stopped here on vacation. This national park was very informative and the visitors center was gorgeous and had tons of information. There was a ranger there who was super sweet and gave my girls their badges. You can tour just the first floor of the house and we only had to wait about 5 minutes, as there were two groups ahead of us. There is a Junior Ranger trail that is a nice walk around the property and back to the visitors center. This park is well maintained and has gorgeous views of Vermont.

This is the only home within the park. Has a ranger within to explain. Has a trail to walk throughout the park. A historic family owned place until donated to the county to become a tourist action. A very good place to think and enjoy the beauty of the past. A well preserved home. You could really tell how many could go far.

Only bad thing is they're not doing mansion tours due to Covid. But it's a beautiful stroll with great photo ops. And it leads to a lot of hiking trails with amazing views.

The grounds and trails are free. Access to the historic buildings is by guided tour only which does have a fee. Check out NPS.gov/mabi for more details.
It is $8 for adults. $4 for seniors and under 15 is free
No charge for the park entrance. You have to buy ticket for the mansion tour.
No bikes are allowed in the state park, paths included.
No they have different activities for over the winter.
You only pay to have a tour of the mansion, as walking the carriage road trails and walking around the grounds of the property is free. The only thing you have to pay for is a ticket for a tour of the mansion, which are already discounted for those 62 and above, at $4, whereas its $8 for adults. So while having the senior annual pass does not get you any discounts, being 62 and above does help you, because you can get a discounted ticket.
