Slater Mill is a nice historical place (cotton mill). They keep it up well and it has benches and trash barrels. Nice view of the Blackstone River. I saw a blue Heron at the river. They offer tours of the buildings every now and then. Nice place for photography !

A great national park, running cotton gin. This place is the beginning of everything. There will be a PBS special soon, I must visit Slater Mill again.

Nice park to sit and relax. Listening to the water is very relaxing. Lots history too. Learn about Slater Mill and the Blackstone River.

The Old Slater Mill and other buildings that are around the Historic District were acquired by the National Park Service in 2021. We were part of the first 10,000 inside according to the ranger. They’re still setting up displays and they have more work to do on other buildings but it was an interesting part of our history and culture. To get your passport stamped cross the Roosevelt Ave street. restrooms are located there. As well as additional museum exhibits.

Yes you can fish, but wouldnt advise as there are groups of geese and ducks that have this area as there home.
It's now run by the National Park Service. Do to covid it's only open for a limited tour. Currently the machine shop and water wheel are currently off limits
The museum is currently closed but the grounds are open to the public. There are National Park Service Rangers there, weather permitting, Thursdays through Sundays, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in an outdoor, seasonal, and temporary visitor center. Social distancing guidelines are in place. Visit nps.gov/blrv to learn more.
They more than likely have tables and chairs but I would bring them anyway.
Can't see why not but I would probably stay away from the police station next door.
Slater Mills was the 1at textile mill in the United States. They have all the machines from the 18th century, A water wheel that still functions and building that are as they were in the 1700's. It is now a National Park. If you are able, visit this historical place, it's unlike any other.
