I experienced nothing but kindness and compassion from ORAH staff when my cat, Sam, wasn't feeling well and needed a few teeth pulled. Everyone was clear in what needed to be done, answered all my (many) questions and I was reassured that he was in good hands. The day of his surgery, they used an app to communicate throughout the day and during his recovery at home which helped put my mind at ease. They were always very clear about options and price and I never felt pushed to do more tests or spend more money than what was absolutely necessary. You can tell they are all animal lovers and will treat your pet with the same love and consideration that they'd treat their own.

I always tell everyone I know that has pets, about how amazing you guys are! The tremendous amount of love and support Jelly and myself received was unbelievable! You guys were so kind and quick to do everything you could to calm me down and get Jelly feeling better. Someone even went out of their way wrapped my hand up because of the leash burn I got when trying to grab her! This was such a scary and difficult time and you made it quick and easy! Jelly is doing so well and is going to be back to herself in no time! I bet she can’t wait to see you all next week! Thank you all so much!

Great facility and staff. They even have a website for all your pharmacy needs and they’ll ship it to your home. What more can you ask for? They’re so loving and actually follow up with you, even if you just came in for an emergency visit! 10/10 would recommend this vet to anyone.

When I inherited two geriatric cats, 16-1/2-year-old sisters, several months ago (cats I'd known and house-sat for since they were born), I had a choice of several veterinary clinics in my area. After consulting with friends, I chose Onion River Animal Hospital in Berlin, VT. Both cats had health issues, which ORAH staff evaluated. I was impressed by the competence and compassion of the doctor and technician I met on the initial visit. When the sickest of the cats reached a crisis a couple of months later and I had to make that life-or-death decision every pet owner dreads, the technician showed the greatest compassion in our discussion and in administering the drugs that ended Miss T's life as I held her. Fortunately, her sister, who has a less life-threatening condition, is in quite good health, thanks in part to the care she gets and the advice I receive from the hospital staff. I know I made the right decision in going to Onion River, and would feel perfectly confident in recommending them to friends.
