This place is awful. Terrible customer service. It is worth the extra $20 to use a different rental company. They will lie for more money then refuse to admit fault/fix their mistake. Will never use this company again.

Worst car rental place ever. Wasn't at the counter when the flight arrived had to stand in line for a different rental company and then they didn't know what they were doing either. Spent more than 45 mins with an infant in line trying to figure out who was in charge of what.

Quick service and knowledgeable staff at airport pickup. Staff at airport drop off efficient. New RAV4 hybrid at slightly less cost than their parent company, Avis Budget.

Honestly could be 5 star if it wasn't a scam.. I didn't mind the extra commute and was not displeased with workers, they were doing their job but we're dealt bad cards... I booked through Expedia and when I arrived I was forced to buy the daily insurance which was the same daily price as the car rental. I was traveling with a one year old who had not slept and it was 9pm; I considered going back to the airport for a different car rental but was not worth it with the baby.The ladies behind me did were also so upset they went back to airport. They also offered several other upgrades at a ridiculously charge. Moral of the story call prior to make sure you car insurance is accepted as Expedia does not ask.

Same experience. 1 hour wait for shuttle no one picked up phone when I was trying to find out why such a long delay. Shuttle driver said they had run out of cars, but were cleaning some. Got to rental office, was told that computer system down and would take 20 minutes to process each customer. At this time there were over 12 customers waiting. Left and had a great rental experience with a different company.
You may have put down a lump sum cash for security deposits.
The Payless Car Rental location is now at the new rental facility at Tampa Airport. This was in mid-July 2018. It was directly next to Hertz. I was concerned about service due to rental rate being half of other rental companies however I have encountered no problems. I believe that Fox Car Rental is also at this location which is reached by airport train versus waiting for a van. They only had two terminals which could cause a backup but I did not experience that.
I would think so... Every car I have rented has been while traveling and my driver's license was a different state than the rental company.
None that I know of. Using a major CC they will hold $200, but a debit card I'm not sure.
When i was there, one guy was working. He was the ahuttle driver, the desk guy, the car vacuumer, etc. The place is half the price of other places. You get what you pay for. I like cheap so i have a good book and noy a tight schedule.
Are you asking how long the return process itself takes? Although picking up the rental car was a torturously long process, returning it was actually really quick. Allow about 15 minutes for that.
I recommend call the local office before you go. I'm afraid theirs policy changes when you rent with debit card and drop off in different location.
Yes, your Driver License and a Credit Card. For Debit Card they have another requirements.
