Excellent pet adoption center. Their adoption fees are high compared to others in the area. The staff and foster are helpful, kind, and efficient. I submitted my application on the weekend and they got back to me quickly. On Monday, I spoke to a staff member who helped me choose the best dog. I spoke with his foster on Monday, we scheduled a meeting on Tuesday, and we brought him home that evening. That Friday, he was neutered hence the pictures. He loves his surgical suit. He's the perfect dog π for us.

These folks JUST rescued 500 beagles due to be tortured in experimental labs..and have 5000 more to be adopted and fostered out in the East Coast and DC area. They stuck their necks out and are doing a beautiful and wonderful SAVE of these gentle pups. They deserve a Humane Society Nobel prize!

I was absolutely disrespected in my cat adoption application process. The woman in charge of my application refused to courteously respond to my emails for several days at a time. Their system is first come first serve and they leave the cat adoption page up even if they have several people in contention. See the issue? You apply thinking you have a chance and you don't even get one. The emotional devastation in rejection in these things is well documented and you would think an organization doing this thing for many years would have the decency to explain their real application process so as to respect the heart of potential adopters. Upon rejection, I was never given a courteous response to my email asking for a good reason to pick someone else. These people are heartless, and I was devastated for days because of my emotional investment into the cat I applied to adopt. Like many other prospective cat adopters have said here: find somewhere else if you can. I would be open to further communication about my feedback, but they don't even read their emails and don't have a phone number to contact.

We adopted our very special pup from Homeward Trails! The application process was very easy and the adoption coordinators do their due diligence to match you with your best fit. We worked with two different adoption coordinators and there was an obvious difference in skill level, attentiveness, and caring. We kept in touch with the original coordinator, although we were assigned a second coordinator because the first dog didn't work out, and she was much more helpful through the whole process. I suggest to anyone interested in adopting that they work with a good coordinate because the level of service will vary! All-in-all, we were very happy with our adoption process and we're so happy to find a new fur-ever family member!

Are any beagles coming to Boston
They are very happy in lovely new homes. πΆππ©
I'm very interested in this as well
We went there from fredericksburg, I don't think that they care where you live.
Are you looking to adopt a dog during the week? They have an adoption event every weekend. The website will provide details.
I believe so since their location is Virginia. Go to website and fill out request. Fees unknown To me
I know today they have an adoption event so they may be busy.
You can go on their website and fill out an application. I know as of right now no puppies yet. All adults in the fisr wave.
I'm pretty sure they can accept it as long as it hasn't been opened.
Best way to know is to check the website. It is kept up to date with who is available for adoption.
Hi Shelby, You can go to https://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/dogs-for-adoption/#.YIp8sRRuelY to view our adoptable dogs and fill out an application.
Do not go there it is a scam

You can visit the volunteer page on their website for specifics, but people under 18 are not allowed to be dog handlers.
Will rhey adopt out of state? Im in michigan and would live a female beagle girl??
They have events every weekend. Call & leave a message or email and they will get back to you.
They probably do
This platform is not the best way to work with homeward trails. I suggest you visit their website, they are very good about keeping the I postings updated, and contacting them directly through visiting and phone. They are very responsive and helpful so do reach out to them.
If you go to the website you can see what puppies are available, and at what adoption events they will be. There are a lot of adult dogs who need homes too.
Yes.
