Alta Mar at Broadwater Apartments

We have lived at Alta Mar at Broadwater for 4 years. There have been a lot of changes but primarily, the pandemia happened and like every other business and communities, have suffered of severe maintenance staff shortage. People complain about the trash. Well, the community provides dumpsters and the residents still leave the trash outside the dumpster. Rodents and roaches. I had roaches at a time and they sent the pest control service a few weeks in a row and took care if the problem. The grounds always look good. They replaced the washers and dryers. Luis, Jennifer and Julia are awesome! Location, you can beat it. Thank you for everything you do!

This is beyond the word of 'SAD'. I grew up in this general area and I remember when this apartment complex was the place to live and visit. Let me guess, the Owner lives out of the State of Florida. He/She made a deal with City Government to not FORCE them to fix the apartments. And I'm guessing this property is being switch around on someone's table to be sold by the owner or bought by a seller for a low price (probably the city). Please someone come in and help the people staying at this place. I understand the days and time of Florida property being bought up knocked down and reconstructed..but the people who are already there trying to live comfortably shouldn't have to suffer waiting on the decisions of a rich person's check book

Difficult to find Google maps sends u in circles. Not yet recorded on maps correctly yet.had a delivery there by the time I got to their building n door w their foor they canceled on me. I've never been so stressed out trying to find a place in my life except this one!

Do not rent here. There is a few nice people that work in the office but that’s as far as it goes. No maintenance team since I’ve moved in. (Nearly impossible to get anything fixed unless you literally beg. Expect to be stood up multiple times first.). I had issues in my unit on move in day and they weren’t fixed until 4-5 months In. The office and phone lines are almost always closed even when the front office should be open. There is consistently an OVERWHELMING amount of trash thrown all over the complex or piled up in front of the trash area. (See photos). Gym. Pool. The balcony’s. And more things that come with the apartment have not been accessible since move in(see photos.). 4 separate times since I’ve moved in they have requested I pay a different amount than my rent/deposits. If I wasn’t paying attention I would of paid them. The complex doesnt email you to give you notice for anything. (The city deeming their buildings unlivable. turning the water off for hours/half day. Notifying pest control is coming. Etc) really annoying to go to take a shower for your work day and you have no water to do so… When you ask for any help at all or assistance in things to be fixed, you’re told to just be patient(all I wanted was to not live in a neighborhood with trash EVERYWHERE and I get told they can’t do anything about it) I didn’t want to leave this review. I wanted my issues to be fixed/work this out with Alta Mar and to move on with my life but people should know what their getting into..! There are many more issues also, be aware! Rent elsewhere. Cannot wait for my lease to be up. Edit: this doesn’t even include the issues inside the unit and all of the problems I had signing my lease. (Promised me one unit. Gave me another. Tried to change the deposit amounts. Never received one follow up/call back/ or given the information needed to move in without multiple inquiries to the office or just showing up to the office to be ready to move in. ) If it seems like a red flag if a place, trust your gut because it is.
