We decided on dinner at Steak 'n Shake for dinner tonight. My wife and I haven't eaten there since before the whole covid thing. As usual everything was very delicious. I had the double steak burger with bacon and she had a triple steak burger. The cup of chili I had was also delicious. The problem is with their whole new ordering system. They have touch screens at the counter that you order from. There's a screen that pops up at the end of your order and asks how much you would like to tip. We both used to work in the restaurant industry so usually leave a pretty decent tip. I found it odd that I had to order the food myself. Imagine my surprise when they called my wife's name over the intercom system and said that our shakes were ready. You have to walk up and get your food at the counter now. When our meal was ready, they also called the name and we had the schlep everything back to the table ourselves. They really have balls asking for a tip when no one does anything except cook and place food on trays. It's a real joy to bus your own tables after you're done with your meal. We will definitely go back but I'm going to think twice about leaving a tip.

I was waiting for my car to be serviced and decided to walk over to the Steak and Shake. I was surprised to see thatThey still had a combination menu selection selection for $4. The ordering process was quick and easy! You place your order by screen for both take out and dining in period. I ordered them within 5 minutes I had my food. I ordered a hamburger with french fries and yes it was only $4. It's unheard of with today's skyrocketing prices!Everything was cooked to perfection and I am a stickler about my burgers and fries! The restaurant itself was extremely clean including the restrooms. The staff was very pleasant as well I highly recommend this particular restaurant in location!

Super quick service. Haven't tried the shakes yet but they do have a lot of options for different types of flavors. The burgers automatically come with ketchup so I switch to mustard. They have ordering screens that you place your order on. Easy to use. Clean restroom. The food is hot and cooked to order.
