Dr Sonja Halsey is awesome. She does prolotherapy and PRP. The injections I receive were pretty much pain free cause she uses a freeze spray to numb the area to be injected. In addition she listens and is attentive on finding out the area where you are having pain. If you are looking for an excellent naturopath she should be at the top of your list. And lastly she had a great personality and sense of humor. In this day where everyone seems to have a stick up their rear its great to see someone that cares.

Practitioner is unvaccinated for covid - 19. We will not be seeing him anymore. Practitioners are community leaders and hubs for information. We are working for the greater hood in being vaccinated as a group. So sad to see responsible community members working against us.

This review has no reflect on Dr. Raymond (she is amazing), but purely their office staff, accountant and the owner. Over the course of the last 6 months, I have been dealing with a complete nightmare with Hawthorn. For starters, they were collecting copays for months without verifying that I had met my max out of pocket which meant I had no copays. Instead of refunding me the money, they applied it as a credit on my account. Around the same time my husband & I had food allergy tests done. We were advised that these labs were NOT covered by our health insurance carrier and that we would need to pay out of pocket. So we paid upwards of $400 for these labs. Since I already had some history w/ them not checking benefits, I decided to call Pacific Source. Not to my surprise, the labs ARE covered. I went back into Hawthorn and told them. They gave me a receipt w/ the code for the labs in order to be reimbursed. While waiting for the lab work to be straightened out, I went in and bought some vitamins. I used what was "left" of my credits (the credit I had from being billed copays that I didn't owe). That applied to some of the vitamins & then I paid the rest out of pocket. Waited nearly 2 months to receive my Explanation Of Benefits from Pacific Source. When I finally did, it stated that I owed $0 for these labs & that they paid Hawthorn about $9. When I brought these into Hawthorn I was treated in the most disgusting manner. "We had to pay more than this for these labs so this is unacceptable." Understandable. But because HAWTHORN is contracted with Pacific Source, that is their problem to figure out not mine. In response, the front desk gal told me that I just need to be patient and I don't understand how insurance works. Here I am, a licensed insurance agent. Come to find out Hawthorn provided me the wrong code for the lab which is what caused the low payout. Instead of refunding me the money while they dealt with Pacific Source as they are supposed to do, they made me resubmit the claim. I asked to speak with the owner & the front desk gal then argued with me even about that. The owner did nothing to remedy their wrongs. He didn't want to be out the money while he waited for Pacific Source to pay & would not refund the money. This is not how a healthcare facility works, you're a contracted provider! It was also recommended that my son have the same labs done, so we went ahead & they confirmed that they would be billing this one directly to Pacific Source prior instead of making me pay (They thought they should get a gold star for this?) While waiting and speaking with the office staff on multiple occasions, it was disclosed that I still HAD a credit. Really? That was already supposed to have been applied to my previous purchases. Not to my surprise, they calculated it wrong. At that point it was very clear they had no idea what they were doing so I asked them to refund ALL my credits to me. They sent a small refund check to me via mail. When I receive the new EOB's for myself, my husband & my son showing they paid Hawthorn every dime + some, I called the office and left a message. After a week and not hearing back, I walked in with those EOB's and asked for my refund. At that point I was told, "you're lucky I am the only one here because I'm tired of dealing with this and am just going to write you a check". Excuse me? You're tired of dealing with this? At that point, I brushed it off as I WAS ACTUALLY THE ONE TIRED OF DEALING WITH THIS. She scanned all EOB into our files and I left. Thought that I was finally done with their nightmare, but no. Received a bill last night for $163 for amount I owe for my sons labs "after my credit was applied." The credit they advised was refunded back to me in that check and the lab that is covered AND ALREADY PAID BY PACIFIC SOURCE TO HAWTHORN DIRECTLY BACK ON SEPTEMEBER 13th. - EOB in hand & in their file! Doctors are great, but this isn't worth it. I'll be waiting for my $35 refund IMMEDIATELY & statement showing $0.00 balance. How many people they've done this to? Hmm.

Kellie is the best! My back is much better thanks to her :-). I go monthly for acupuncture. Never ever have to wait. Always room in their dedicated parking spots, too, which can be an issue for many downtown business.
