We hired Mike's to install several hundred feet of post and cap field fence along with a gate on our driveway. I hate to say it but overall I'm not impressed. First of all, the wooden caps they installed between the posts normally have a slight curve (just the nature of wood) that are oriented so the curve bows down and settles straight over time... they installed them going everywhich direction making the whole fence look wavy. Then they installed an end post completely out of line... thankfully they fixed it but had to come back out and move it. They left concrete all over the exposed posts and there were sections of fence that ended up 6" above the ground (not good for keeping animals in). For the 15' gate, they used a wooden gate post and only left about 1" of clearance between the bottom of the gate and the ground. Now any little rock, stick, or snow snags the gate making our gate opener useless. When I asked them to fix it they said because we installed the automatic gate opener ourselves, they would charge us extra labor to raise the gate and that had they known we were using a gate opener they would have used a different post and hinge system... the frustrating thing is, they did know that and even asked if we wanted them to install the opener for us before they did the job. Long story short... they screwed up several times on our job, made it seem like it was our fault, and were unwilling to make it right. I've built fences for a living and know how things should be done correctly... I will not be using them again. UPDATE: As you can see from the response below, Mikes is still insinuating that the issues I identified were our fault and the result of some sort of "change orders" that we did last minute. I'm not going to get into it in this forum other than to say everything we asked for was expressed in detail via email, text, or phone call before the work was started, as well as having the job manager come to the site before work was started to explain the specifics in detail... the "changes" we asked for were corrections to errors THEY made on the job when they did not do what had been agreed upon. The "adjustments" they made were laughable and did nothing to fix the problem that should not have even been a problem to begin with. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to respond to my review (I don't know of many companies that do), but they are still refusing to accept their responsibility.

We had a person come out to do an estimate on a fence repair. It was only 20' but they said it would be $2,800.00 to fix it. Good grief... that's rediculous!!! We had another company come out and their bid was $1,500.00 dollars less and they have much better customer reviews. Buyer be ware!!!!!

A special thank you to all the members of the team at Mike’s Fence Center. Our power gate was damaged during a construction project (not by them ) and they were very responsive to our needs. They arrived the first day we called, delivered a fair bid and completed the project timely. The employees that actually did the work were pleasant, answered our questions and were respectful of our property. Thank you all!

No experience with their work, but I won’t be doing any work with them based on how their employees were driving on 97 today. Two different Mikes Fence Center trucks were tailgating and driving aggressively in a downpour. Honestly surprised they didn’t cause a wreck. If you have the company name on the side of your truck, it would behoove you to follow the rules of the road.
