I read very mixed reviews on this place, and it’s very tired looking, but I finally tried it because it’s close to the hotel I stay at when I’m in town. I ordered the French onion soup and the salad with chicken salad. The soup was pretty good but the salad was terrible. Brown lettuce, the tiny scoop of chicken had crust on it like it was old and exposed to the air too long. I was honestly afraid to eat it for fear of food poisoning and almost sent it back. Tons of glooped dressing drowned at the bottom. Not worth $12 at all. I would have tried a pastry but everything in the glass case looked old. While the soup was good enough, I wouldn’t go back with all the other options in the neighborhood.

Quiet atmosphere with coffee house jazz playing. Great place to relax and grab a coffee & croissant out of the cold. Make sure you have ample time to relax as staff is lacking as are most places around town and food takes around 30-45 minutes for a ham croissant & tomato baguette. Fresh coffee & great food when it does arrive

Lovely little cafe with interesting menu items. Have been frequenting the restaurant for three years now. With some food sensitivities, I typically relied upon the oatmeal for breakfast. It is served with choice of dried fruit (cherries or raisins). Yummy cherries! However, with recent change of ownership, I can no longer enjoy the rolled oats (oatmeal). The product was switched out for a lesser one, instant oats. They are paste-like!! Yuck!! I’ve tried to provide constructive feedback to the owner but cannot find an option on the website so decided to publicly communicate my disappointment.
