The staff was amazing at the ER. So friendly. The only problem I had was they wouldn’t let anyone with me in the ER. I understand visiting hours, but I guess the next time I’m in pain I’ll wait for whoever is coming with me to meet me in the parking lot so I don’t have to spend 7 hours alone in the ER.

Because it was a Monday it was naturally super busy in the ER. My overall wait time was as expected however due to being so overcrowded I had to be seen by the physician in the triage nurse area. Some people spoke to the physician in the waiting room. So it was not ideal but it got the job done. A patient vomited on the seat in the waiting room and when I notified the person at the desk it took over a half hour for maintenance to come and clean the chair in the floor and no one blocked it off to keep other people from sitting there as the patient had cleaned it up himself so you couldn't really tell what had happened. The technician who did my CT scan thought he was being funny and pretended like he was calling security not once but twice while I was standing in the room with him. I had no idea what was going on and then started to have thoughts about was there an active shooter in the building was there someone trying to come in the room with us what was the problem that he was calling security when there was only two of us in the room. It was not funny at all. He thought it was.

Staff were very courteous , freindly, informative, and personable. They made the overly long wait time tolerable by keeping us informed. They were very thorough and clear in explaining our results and next steps. Our nurse made sure to connect with minor patient for his comfort and understanding. Even the attending Dr apologized for the wait time and gave us a warm freindly farewell. Only downfall was of course the wait time.

Absolutely atrocious. Please do yourself a favor and go to UHS.

By staying home when you or a loved one is ill and washing your hands regularly, you can help keep yourself and your children healthy.
If you think your child has RSV or bronchiolitis, it is important to keep your child hydrated and monitor for fever or shortness of breath. Contact your child’s doctor, who can test for RSV and provide recommendations to keep your child safe at home. If your child’s health situation is serious or life-threatening, go to the nearest ER or call 911.
Respiratory Syncytial Virus, or RSV, may appear like a bad cold to adults. For infants or young children, RSV can cause bronchiolitis -- a virus which causes swelling and an increase in mucus in the airway. This can cause difficulty breathing through their nose and eventually dehydration due to difficulty latching to the breast or bottle for infants. Other symptoms of RSV may include a fever or a very wet sounding cough, which can turn into coughing fits. Those coughing fits can cause a child to gag and potentially vomit.
