I drove all the way from another state just to come to this place, before I went there I talked to the staff they told me twice that they indeed have small breed dogs. When I went to the building the staff at the front desk ignored me at first then had a horrible attitude and refuse to speak to me so I talked to other staff I kept getting ignored, one nice lady showed me to were the dogs were but non of them were small breeds, I was basically lied to, they said they had small breed dogs when they didn't, but one lady said " sorry we don't have small breed dogs we do have one but he's crazy" the staff there were very rude there was only one nice lady there, so I went home.

After our precious baby passed away, we chose to use Wayside Waif's to cremate her remains. I have been volunteering with Wayside for a few years now, but have never had the chance to personally work with memorial services. I had an exceptional experience!!!!! Very well priced compared to other places, all proceeds go back to the shelter, and the customer service is excellent. We will receive stamped paw prints and got a keepsake from them as well. Could go on and on, but overall, HIGHLY recommend using their services.

I HIGHLY recommend Wayside Waifs. We've adopted two wonderful dogs from Wayside Waifs. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable. They really care about the animals and it shows. #adoptdon'tshop

I had two dauchsie s and loved them with all my heart. Shorty was seventeen when he passed away and Shelia was 14. I would very much like to meet yoyr dauchsund.I would take good care if him and all the love he needs.
The above answer is incorrect. The process starts online, where you will fill out a pet surrender form and submit. Within 48 hours of submission the Admissions office should give you a call to schedule the appointment. At the appointment your pet will go through assessments (health and behavioral) to see whether whether Wayside can take them into the shelter.
I am sorry but i already have 6 cats and two dogs. Wish i had a big barn to rescue all of them! Good luck. Suggestions would be post them on FB or other media!
The website is updated regularly with adoptable dogs.
R u still trying to give the cat away
Is HE still available?
What kind of puppy?
It does NOT offer Veterinary services to the public. The Veterinary services are just for the shelter animals that are in the care and custody of Wayside Waifs.
No
Contact your local animal control about the situation. They will take them to your city's animal shelter.
You need to call them and see if they will take them in. It depends on what county you live in as to whether or not they will take them.
Yes don't know how much though.
The surrender process is on the website. Go to waysidewaifs.org, then to the About Us tab in the menu. Then choose Pet Surrender. Scroll to the grey section which says Surrender Process. The Surrender application will be linked in blue text. Fill that out and the Admissions team will respond through email in a few days.
Go to the website, Waysidewaifs.org. under the 'About Us' tab you will find 'Pet Surrender'. About halfway down the page you will find links highlighted in blue. Fill out the information, and Admissions will get back to you via email.
I wish I did. You can always call wayside waifs and see if they can help you.
They take dogs in but there is a fee.
Yes they had a few less than 6months old... Check out their website
Wayside Waifs is a wonderful facility.
No they do not
No, they do not. You would have to drop them off.
Yes. If you go to their website, there is a volunteer category. Click on that and you will see become a volunteer, once you click on that it will give you information on being a volunteer and how to sign up.
You have to call and schedule an appt
Services are available by appointment only. You can learn more about those on our website WaysideWaifs.org
Tony we are sorry to hear about your situation. We do have a Pet Surrender program and you can learn more on our website and fill out a request for an appointment. http://www.waysidewaifs.org/site/PageServer?pagename=Animal_surrender_new
No
Wayside Waifs is a good place my son has adopted 2cats and 1dog. Myself I adopted an emotional support dog.
Always check their actual website, you can also call. It's a lot faster than looking for that answer here and you can always follow up on the website and see what dogs they have come in
Sometimes Wayside does receive cats who are already declawed. I would check the website regularly WaysideWaifs.org
The dog doing fine in place....
They're website is usually pretty up to date, always check their site and call them to see if they have the breed/dog you are looking for. But I have seen golden retrievers for adoption here before when my family and I adopted
The animals stay at the shelter until adopted. It is amazing how quickly they are adopted. I volunteered at the shelter and was amazed at how quickly they found homes
William we are so sorry to hear about your pet. You can consult your family veterinarian and if you find you need end of life care our Pet Memorial Services team can help you. You can learn more on our website: https://secure.waysidewaifs.org/site/SPageServer/?pagename=Pet_memorial_new
Yes
It's always a good idea to check out their website! It's not always up to date but can give you an idea of who is in their shelter and you can always call to make sure they have the dog you interested in! I think you may even just call and ask if they have any poms and probably get a quicker response!
Wayside waifs had an adoption fee but I would say the fee is well worth it since you wouldn't need to worry about first time vaccinations, which you would have to go get with a "free" puppy and sometimes they can take you by surprise in price
Depends on what city you reside in, some cities have restrictions or bans on certain breeds so you have to check with your town ordinance on if a certain breed is restricted or banned.
Where did you find the kittens. If in Belton contact animal control and then Wayside will take them. Animals must be processed through the nearest animal control.
They would be able to help you rehome your cats
Your best bet is to call and ask since it can vary what dogs they have available
Wayside waifs would be able help you rehome you dog.
If you call Wayside then can set up a time for you to surrender the pup and they will work with the puppy to teach it new skills.
Yes
I would suggest calling animal patrol
Call the shelter to schedule an appointment to bring him in.
You can ask Wayside Waifs to rehome your dog.
You need to make an appt to surrender. They will work very hard to find Charlie a good home.
You can schedule a time to take in the kittens. Just call and explain your situation and they'll help!
I am a volunteer, and as far as I am aware, they don't. They will make sure they have no contact with people who are not trained and get behavior specialists to get them back on track.
I'm sure we can. We have a food pantry that has all sorts of foods. So I'm sure that would be very useful. Thank you!
According to their website, you may surrender a pet by appointment at a cost of $45 for a spayed/neutered animal ($55 otherwise). A $20 not-refundable deposit is due at the time of appointment. http://www.waysidewaifs.org/site/PageServer?pagename=Animal_surrender_new
Wayside Waifs will take him
Wayside has an adoption fee. It varies by age and breed. You'd need to look online or go in. https://secure.waysidewaifs.org/site/SPageServer/?pagename=Available_dogs_new
You can foster dogs
Wayside does not sell Heartworm medicine. If it is for an animal you adopted it should have been included. If it is for another animal you will have to contact your vet.
The first step is to contact your city’s animal control. This way they can get it to the nearest shelter so it can be claimed by its family (if there is one). Wayside can only take strays that are in their jurisdiction and only from an animal control officer.
If your friend is unable to give the cat the care it needs, bring the fur baby to Wayside Waifs! While he/she stays at Wayside waiting for their forever home, he/she will be surrounded by employees and volunteers giving it love and care, toys and treats, a clean place to sleep, and any professional care it may need.
Depends on age, cat or dog?
Go on line and fill out an animal surrender form. If you are in belton call animal control.
They can help you have to call them and they can help euthanizing her is not the answer just cause you couldn't place her
Please call the shelter or bring the cat in to discuss surrender options.
Giving cats away for free is dangerous, spending 50 bucks to garunteed a forever home is better than a cat being used as bait or for testing. Ive had to do it and they will work with you if finances are an issue.
Wayside had an animal surrender program. Please contact them at the number on their website.
You can take them into Wayside Waifs or the Great Plains SPCA for surrender.
Yes they always have some..have to check their website
Yes, pets on the website are ready for adoption unless noted on the pet's page.
We have 1 female kitten and 2 male kittens looking for a loving home if you are interested.
Can i pay 70.00 then paythe balance? I want Puppy. Or 161378
My 2 dogs we got same day
Yes they do
No just if you have other pets. I like to see shot records for them.
They will do it it will cost you about 30 to 40 bucks
Are you still looking?
I have a puppy, Husky mixed, who is 2 months old. Will you keep it?
If you are planning on volunteering you need to be 16 and up. If you are between the ages of 13-15, you will have to have an adult volunteer with you. If you just want to visit and pet the dogs, you will have to talk to the volunteers there. You cannot go directly into the kennels or rooms without volunteer assistance. I am not sure if you have to be 18 and older.
