I don’t know what the problem is, but it seems like the people who work for building and zoning try to make everything as inefficient and difficult as possible. Contractors cannot stand doing work in the city because of how difficult the zoning and building department is. Seems like the only way you could fix this is by firing every single one of them and hiring people that are actually qualified to do the job.

In line Quest System not working,early morning they finally answered the phone “A Miracle “ they took my information over the phone “I just need to drop off updated information “ they said no need to get in line because they will call me and taking too long and no call back, I came by and they had a big list and said that I needed to put my name in the list! Very frustrating, they didn’t honeyed they word over the phone… I had to pospone, cancel and go God knows all I had scheduled to wait 3 hours!!! By the way… Everyone in bad mood on this City… my situation has been since 2020 and still!!! Unbelievable!!!!

A huge shout out to the building official, Marc Jean and all the staff at the North Miami Building Department! It is clear that the staff is very busy and overwhelmed with business. However, Marc proved to be instrumental in assisting myself and our client get his permits issued in a timely manner. The courtesy and professionalism was above and beyond. Very thankful for the support and guidance of all those involved. It is much appreciated!

Staff is nice, however if you schedule a inspection make sure to come back in the day of the inspection to make sure your inspection has been scheduled.. thats right its your job to do this. I have scheduled my inspection, written& voice mail, and next day waiting in job site all day nobody showed up, when i come back day after they said i had to double check on inspection day. Lol. Just come back few more times in a day to make sure your inspection is going to happen
