The Bangor store is a great experience. Especially Rachel who was friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the glasses and made the whole process fun. The only detractors was the wait due to short staffing. They cannot really be faulted for that when there is short staffing everywhere. Despite the wait, it is still a great place to get glasses and has a great selection of frames at not unreasonable prices.

This place is great! I have an 8 year old who is constantly breaking his glasses. We went in on a Saturday and picked out two pair and they were fairly priced and they were both ready in about 30 mins. They came out great and my son was super happy with them! Will definitely going back to get myself and my daughter glasses here!

We've bought our whole families (4 of us) glasses from Eyemart, from the time you walk in until you walk out you are treated kindly and with patience! They don't try to push anything onto you, they make sure you have everything you want! Let's top this off by saying none of our glasses ever took an hour, it was under a 1/2 hour to get....even with progressive bifocals and tinting!!! Highly recommend!!!!!

I walked in there with 6 Pairs of glasses I had bought over the last several years. Three needed tightening and maintenance, two pair with broken bows, one pair of safety goggles that I wanted new lenses for. The store associate, Sara, approached me with a smile, patience, kindness and experience. She provided me with excellent service. So far all these services were free. She acted like I was spending $1,000. In the end I did buy two new pairs of glasses. She replaced the two that were damaged with equal value and made my old glasses clean bright and fitting so much better. My safety glasses, which were extremely difficult to see through due to my bifocal too low in the frame, are now in excellent working order. Eyemart Express return policies are always Fair and they don't even ask for a receipt. The selection there is outstanding and fashionable with the newest styles. Thank you again to the wonderful young lady that waited on me, Sara. I predict she'll be running the show in no time!

I have medicare. Do they take this insurance? Would it cover eye exam and glass? Or just one or none?
There is an independent Optometrist next door that does the exams. Starts at $89. Call 947-2385 to schedule an appt.
They do accept credit and debit cards.
No
Typically we do
Usually is go ask or call them.
Last year they were able to prepare and provide paperwork for a claim with Blue View Vision so you can send off for reimbursement but were not able to bill it directly.
I just purchased glasses that I pay out of pocket for. Polycarbonate bifocal (not progressive) lens were $120 for the two. If you want to save $50 choose plastic lenses (they aren't as rugged as polycarbonate - may scratch or shatter). I chose frames that cost $40 and I require an anti-glare coating that was $65. $225 for the complete eyeglasses.
Yes but i am not sure about cost, as my progressive glasses were covered under my insurance
If you go to the Eyemart Express website they have a page where you can enter your insurance provider and it will tell you immediately if they accept it. Some insurance providers use different names however such as anthem vision is under eyemed so if you aren't seeing yours I would call them directly just to be safe. If yours is not in their network you may still be able to send a claim to your insurance company yourself for reimbursement after the purchase. Hope this helps!
I just purchased glasses that I pay out of pocket for as I am also on disability without insurance.
It can take up to two weeks for special orders, for example a complicated prescription, applied coatings etc. Most simple single vision orders are ready within an hour.
No, but right next door is Advance Clinical Eye Care. They schedule by appointment, but accept walk-ins when they have cancellations.
They do the eye exam right there too
The only way you can get glasses in an hour is if you are buying single vision lenses without any applied coatings or special frills.
No they don't but there is an eye doctor next door to them.
