I just purchased glasses that I pay out of pocket for as I am also on disability without insurance. Polycarbonate bifocal (not progressive) lens were $120 for the two. If you want to save $50 choose plastic lenses (they aren't as rugged as polycarbonate - may scratch or shatter). I chose frames that cost $40 and I require an anti-glare coating that was $65. $225 for the complete eyeglasses.

I paid like 200-250. Pretty sure it was closer to 200.00 tho o don't remember the exact amount but I don't have insurance or disability either and it was a great price
