This place is trash. Petty staff, many of the inmates are chomos or rats. Bad place to do time. Forget about having your kids visit you with all the weirdos in the visiting room.

As far as prisons go, I really have no complaints about the procedures or how I'm treated as a family member. All the staff related to visiting have always been very courteous, helpful, and nice to me. The way the visiting room is set up you're actually allowed to sit next to your loved one as opposed to being set up at tables and having to sit across from each other with no contact. Visits can get very crowded, and they do put into place a first in first out policy if the visiting room is full and there are visitors waiting to see their loved ones. So be prepared for that if it happens. It's nothing personal, it's just their way of trying to be fair and letting whoever has visitors be able to see their visitors. As far as treatment of inmates go, like I told my loved one if he's respectful to them they most likely will be respectful to him. Every once in a while you're going to have a mean officer or you're going to have someone having a bad day or you're going to have someone having things going on at home that don't know how to leave their home problems at home and not bring them to work. I told him to be extra patient with officers and staff who come across as mean because there's probably something else going on in their lives. I told him instead of reacting to them to just pray for them instead. And that strategy has been working very well for him in not having any conflicts with correctional officers or administrative staff.

Yes it is spring hill by Marriott & Hilton Gardens they are across from each other & 7 minutes away from the facility
have never used a money order but with your inmate number and the name as he has it registered you can do it and if you go to Western Union you tell the cashier that the transfer is made in the form of payment they should know! I hope you are lucky !!
Maybe just keep trying to call.
He may be in solitary confinement. If he is, they are allowed one phone call per month. He also could have been transferred to a different facility. You can google BOP inmate search and look him up by registration number or his name, age and race. They usually do not notify them prior to transferring them. Hope it all works out.
FMC Davens is more of a medical facility for federal inmates it's not like a state prison
No, they do not have that capability at this time, but they do currently allow in person visits.
No they do not. This is more like a prison hospital.
Only by mail, make sure you have their Inmate ID
That is not always the case. This place is a prison hospital. So he may be held here for that reason I n instead of a general prison.
When I have s question I always search via google
Become an inmate and find out
No you can bring cash for the venting machine you'll need a clear bag to hold the cash in you can take your car keys and they hold onto your ID that's all that can go in you must clear the metal detectors so no wire under bra or it will have to come off
The inmate locator should have up-to-date information but never count on it 100%. What time of the day are you trying to call? I used to have a better chance of getting an answer to my call if I called in the middle of the night when central control has to answer the phone. They're able to tell you if your inmate is there, but they don't have the information and if they're able to receive visits or not. Because I would have to leave so early in the morning to get there, I will call before I left at about 4 AM.
No sweat pants and a dress has to be knee length or longer it cannot be above the knee. A good rule to follow is if you were in a Catholic School and you kneeled on the ground your skirt would have to touch the ground. I always find the best approach is business casual when you are going to visit and do not wear anything that is khaki and color even military green. You will get turned away for those colors. If you wear anything too tight you will get turned away so that means no spandex or form-fitting clothes. No sweat pants or track suits. Play it safe. You really don't want to make the trip over there and be turned away because of your wardrobe. There is a lengthy list of what is allowed and what is not allowed on the website and those rules are pretty much all across the board with the bureau of prisons. the same rules for clothing apply to children so if you're bringing kids keep that in mind. Again dress as if you were going to work at a casual office job.
Yes. Regular visiting hours are 8:30am to 3pm. Special housing unit visits are from 8:30 to 2pm in the same building. The prison camp has a different visiting area and their own schedule which you can find on the FMC Devens website.
I've seen inmates and their families play cards and Dominos. I have not seen Checkers or backgammon but that doesn't mean they don't necessarily have those. You are not allowed to bring anything in there with you except money in a clear plastic bag and your car keys. Anything else has to be put in a locker. So you are pretty much only allowed to play the games that they have in the kids', room but you can bring them out into the main visiting room.
