The museum consists of two rooms, one by time and one of general militaria of various era from WW 2 to 2000's. The free admission includes a tour by a knowledgeable docent who has collected much of the militaria himself. There also is a small souvenir shop and a very large collection of military books and some fairly rare items for sale at very good prices. You can spend between 30 minutes to an hour here, plus the time to browse the extensive book stores.

I am new in Massachusetts and I appreciated so much this visit. The lovely man that toured us was very kind and he gave us a lot of informations about the whole area of Fort Devens. The museum is not big but very interesting. Visiting these kind of places is the best way to keep History alive. The whole Fort Devens is a very nice and interesting visit to do!

Very interesting place, I bet most people around the area either knows or knew someone who was stationed at Fort Devens.
