A group of us stayed at Jiggs Landing this past weekend. It was a good experience for the most part. We brought our kayaks and did some fishing, had some delicious burgers and enjoyed the evening tranquility. The place is amazing. We rented cabin #'s 2 and 3 for three nights. The air conditioning was not working in cabin # 2 which we reported on the first day. We were told it was fixed, however it was not. We went back to report the problem again and were told there was nothing wrong with the unit. This cabin consistently maintained around a 20 degree temp difference from our second cabin. By the evening of our last night the A/C unit was blowing water out of the vents and water was all over the window sill.. clearly a problem. My recommendation to their management staff.. if a guest points out an issue, don't dismiss the issue... Fix it.

The place is neat and clean. There was live music going on all day on St Patrick's Day. We launched our kayaks and spent 6 hours on the Braden River. We saw tons of basketball sized turtles and four gators. It was a very nice paddle and the water is clean and the river is wide and current is very slow.

Old Florida historical fishing camp on the Braden river. Entertainment throughout week. Sometimes free, sometimes a fee. Boat rental available. Tiny cabins available for rent. Snack bar serves beer. If visiting as a tourist or snowbird, please respect the local families who gather here.

I've been coming here all my life “38yrs" always wonder what the inside of the fisherman's cabins looked like? Stayed the weekend and got my chance.. Cabin 1 They are so Cute, Cozy and Comfortable. All cabins have different sleeping arrangements but the all have A.C, Wifi, and a T.V. The trip was amazing filled with wildlife and lake rides.

I'm not for sure but I think they have grills at decanted area on the camp grounds
They have bait and you do need a license to fish. They are very accommodating. Not sure about gear availability.
Maybe
Yes, you can bring own stuff, just bring a good cooler. The cabins are basic. Beds, tv, some furniture. No mini kitchen.
No time limit that I know of.
You are welcome to bring food and drinks from home, but we do not allow outside alcohol. The area directly around the concession building is primarily for patrons and concession customers have seating priority there. The pavilions, however, are first come first served unless they are rented by a private party.
No restrictions on size, only the posted speed limits.
I think it changes from seasons, peak time I believe they opened at 6, might be eight now, give them a call there in the book
They were $25 for a single for 4 hrs and $35 for a double for 4 hrs but they are under new management so I don't know if the prices have changed... But when my mother owned it those were the county set prices
I was there in October. It was $45. Before renovations started
It's first come first serve and it's by the hour. I believe its 35 an hour for a small boat. The kayaks may be cheaper. I would buy a kayak and take it in myself. An hour isn't long enough. Time flies when you're in the water. And kayaks are fairly cheap.
Yes... although there is a sign that says open dawn to dusk I believe that is more for the park side and the bait and boat rental shop plus to give the cabins privacy at night?
They have a couple different price packages, call them for more info
David must be talking about the old fashioned cabin that used to be
No kitchen. Fire pit for hotdogs and marshmallow. Fire roasted Veggies. They have a few park grills. Some people used indoor outdoor grills. Plugs in on the porch. It's very close to camping out here. A fishing camp. Taco Bell on the way in.
It's best to go thru Airbnb for a good rate. Bring an air mattress or something to put over the mattress. The beds are really uncomfortable! You can also call ahead directly to them for a rental.
We rented 2 cabins (they have 4)and linens were provided in both. We took our own pillows though.beautiful place to stay the weekend
Sorry, no. However, they offer canoes and kayaks. BTW this place is awesome for exploring by paddle boat. You could never actually see it all. I've had small alligators swim along side of my canoe, seen Eagles swoop down and snatched a fish from the water just a few feet from me. The large mouth Bass are everywhere, but not easy to catch....Lots of wildlife..and best of all, this place is not crowded, just you and nature.
Yes, Dogs are welcome. Must be on a leash & you must clean up after them. They are welcome to stay in the cabins also, with a $10 a day pet fee to cover the extra cleaning & laundry expenses. The Aligators keep to themselves and to the water.
Worms..crickets..catch mostly bluegill..grass shrimp..bass..catfish..the most fun I had out there..used shiners..and caught alligator gar..bait sold at the store..
