They have bait and you do need a license to fish. They are very accommodating. Not sure about gear availability.
Hi Yes! You do need a freshwater license to fish! Can be obtained online also i believe you maybe able to rent poles to use! I fish the lake all the time If you want to catch Blue gill and Crappie! A little tip use the red worm which also can be obtained from the centre. They sell various live and dead baits. Tight lines!! But you know what if you dont catch? The views and wildlife are extraordinary to look at! Enjoy!!!👍😁
Most of the nearby piers rent equipment and sell bait where you can fish without a license. Anna Maria's City Pier is a fav of mine but for boating or kayaking I love the Bradenton River up from Jiggs.
