I was given different dosages of my medications continuously, and was denied my Zoloft on occasion. I only saw my psych for the first two, possible three, days to then have him no longer see me and neglect me. I was out of surgery, yet had to fight to see a medical doctor. If you try to flag down a doctor who will not see you, they will turn around and walk away from you.

As a prior patient I do not feel that my needs were met. My husband took my property as I didn't feel confident in leaving it with Pacific Grove Hospital. He picked up that property this past Friday and the hospital didn't make him sign for anything. (keep in mind wedding rings were involved) The following day Vanessa forced me to sign so that the hospital wouldn't have liability. However upon returning home we noticed one of my jackets were missing. My husband also dropped off additional clothing for me which wasn't given to me until a 6 or 7 hour period later. Their activities schedule has not been updated since 11/26/2021. I wish I had received more group therapy rather than playing bingo and watching TV all day. However I would like to credit the few employees who were compassionate including Neveah, Dustin, AJ, social worker Jason, recreational activities staff member Derill, and Julius. While I was placed in ward 2 I had a male combative patient removed from my room. In that same ward I had a patient make comments about his genetalia on more than one occasion. I'd like to thank Frankie Moreno for getting me out of that unsafe environment and into another unit only after she spoke with my husband. The visitation hours we were given were incorrect and the staff members need to be aware of the differences. (6 to 7 weekdays and 1 to 2 on weekends) Staff members also need to be more informed on their covid 19 policy for visitors. My husband was allowed visiting on Friday then denied along with my friend the following day for not having a negative covid test. Keep in mind a majority of patients don't even have their vaccines. Fortunately my husband and friend were given rapid result covid tests which took until 1:52pm, giving us only 8 minutes to spare before visiting was over. We were never reimbursed time because of your staff members mistake. Dr. Jon Chaffee had my date of birth written incorrectly on my paperwork. Upon my release social worker Sandra questioned my address multiple times even though the same address I stated was on all hospital paperwork as well as my driver's license. If it weren't for my husband acknowledging my address she would've made my 78 year old grandfather whose in ill health come to confirm the information. RN Cathy was one of the most uncompassionate health care workers I have come into contact with in my lifetime. If your that miserable and hate your job you should probably just resign. This facility is more of a meth amphetamine detox and a homeless encampment for those not wanting to sleep in the cold. I highly suggest taking your loved one to a better and safer facility in regards to their mental health. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone seeking mental health treatment, however I would highly suggest Canyon Ridge or Loma Linda behavioral health where your loved ones needs will actually be addressed and their is much more beneficial group therapies.

This place is horrible no one answers the phone I called at 5pm it rang for 1 hr and half for someone to pick and hang up on me I call back it rang for another hour for them to tell me to call back in an hour because they only have one nurse on duty and he was busy I call back I am using two phones since they have two phone numbers listed and it’s been over an hour of both phones ringing. If you have a choice do not come here your family members will never get a hold of anyone because they just don’t answer their phones. If I could rate them negative 5 stars I would. I will escalate my complaint to the CEO horrible horrible service in such an emotional time for families.

The rooms are NOT clean. I used a wash cloth to to wipe down my bed before sleeping in it and afterwards the wash cloth looked like I scrubbed the floor. The housekeepers are young girls there to get paid. For 3 days they came in, emptied the trash, swept the middle of the floor and walked back out the room. Never seen their cleaning cart, disinfectant spray, mop or anything like that. They didn't even check the bathroom. Time for a Patient Health and Safety check at this hospital I was afraid to eat at first but the food appeared safe to eat and to my surprise was good and healthy.
