The front desk staff upon check-in was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, once we were in our room, we realized we had 2 double beds versus the 2 queens that we booked directly through Hilton. When we went downstairs to inquire on this, the person working the desk was different than who checked us in. She said sorry but we don't have queen beds here, I continued to state we paid for a room thinking we had 2 queen beds (I had the email from Hilton showing this), not 2 double beds. She just said sorry and continued to mess with the bottled waters on the counter. I left it alone at that point because I was not getting anywhere with the conversation. The room was not anything like we have ever had with a Hilton location. The lighting was horrible. The bathroom toilet kept running. The fan in the bathroom didn't work so taking a shower was extremely steamy. With the overly small room, the steamy bathroom made the entire hotel room steamy:( Not all of the lights worked in the bathroom. There was what appeared to be a small patch of black mold on the wall of the shower as well as soap or something squirted on the shower wall. That was gross because obviously the shower was not cleaned very well after the last people checked out. The breakfast was not too bad. There were not many options, and the food wasn't very hot, but it was better than nothing. The food did have good flavor though.

We booked this hotel due to the excellent location to the Riverside Theatre. We were told that there was no breakfast when we checked in even though they advertised it. They offered nothing other than to suggest other options nearby and when we asked all they told us about was a nearby Starbucks even though there are lots of other cool local options. We arrived in our room to find zero towels but thankfully we didn’t need them right away. We asked at the front desk upon returning from our show at about 11:30pm and were given a short stack and told that was all they had until morning when we could ask for more. Upon inspection, the “towels” they gave us was 4 of the small bath mats for the floor! In addition, in this suite the only working lamps were in the bathroom and sitting areas… we only had the light from the windows and TV where the beds are. We thought booking Hampton was always a safe bet and it turned out we were wrong. The hotel is old and they haven’t updated/maintained it well. The rooms are very out of date with kind of strange floor plans. The beds were comfy so it wasn’t a complete bust. Will definitely check reviews closer next time. This was the biggest disappointment!

DO NOT STAY HERE. I did not read the reviews before staying here and I really wish I would have. My friend and I booked due to the great location near riverside theatre. And I have stayed at plenty of Hampton locations before. This was by far the worse experience I’ve had. By the time we were ready to leave I just wanted to get out of there, I took our stuff out to the car (parking deck behind the hotel, 14$ a day even tho it is set up to have your room key lift the gate and enter the hotel, did not work-when I called the front desk about it, they were dismissive and said we don’t do that anymore) and my friend set the keys on the table in the room and rang the front desk to check out, hoping for less interaction with the front desk. As soon as she got to the car I realized I left my wallet in the room and we went to the front desk to ask if we could go get it. The two female employees stated it was against policy to let guests back in after they have checked out. I asked to be escorted up to the room to look. They said we could go up there while one of them looked but we could not enter. Obviously frustrated my friend is demanding they let us in the room, the worker says she doesn’t HAVE to help us. I apologize and am only concerned about getting my wallet back, I would have kissed her butt at this point. Then not even mentioning anything about theft, the worker says I’m not going to STEAL your wallet. I say of course not, I’m not even thinking like that. Then storms out of the front desk area leaving us waiting. The other worker let’s us stew and finally sends us up to the floor we were on, where the other lady comes out of our room and says she didn’t find anything, looked everywhere and we can search her if we want. Hindsight I should have called the police and maybe have been escorted in. But I doubt it would still be there. I read another review from a month ago and they had things go missing. It’s just sad, I get your job sucks but you work in the HOSPITALITY industry. Again please do not go here. Also the awful uncomfortable beds, broken frames, torn bedding. No breakfast as advertised, not even coffee. Pool not open as advertised. Just an over all bad experience. But shout out to the night younger front desk man who called the store down the road just to see if they had playing cards 10/10.

Arrived at hotel approximately 530pm. The hotel lobby was full. We stood on line to check in since our digital key didn't work. (We checked in online the day before) . When assisted the front desk issued us card keys for the room we booked. Got to room, opened door and the room was occupied. Went back to front desk and was given another room, not the same set up as what we booked. The back of the toilet looked like it had not been wiped down. The bed comforter too small for king bed and there was no top sheet. The following morning went to discuss with the front desk. No one there. There were 2 employees in the breakfast area and after 10 minutes of standing at the front desk waiting for someone, we were finally asked if we needed any help. When we said yes, he walked away to front door to let someone in the lobby. That person was the person who was supposed to be at the front desk. this was 830am. After explaining our issues with the room she tells us she can't do anything but give us the managers business card. Atrocious stay and unprofessional day/morning crew.
