Most of the sites are trashed because somehow homeless people living out of their cars have set up camp here, that and people around here must not care to pick up after themselves. Never had this problem anywhere else, at least not this bad.

An easy, well marked trail from the main parking lot works its way towards the falls, which are in private property. It then follows the ridge above the lake around to the boat launch road and camping spots. Watch out for rattlesnakes in the summer months.

Beautiful and empty in late April (with a nice railroad ambience), but some trash strewn about.

Great open area to dry camp. Be sure to bring your own water, it’s dry out here. Lake was murky and dirty trash was strewn about the edge. Tons of mosquitos! Regardless, a beautiful spot, with quaking Aspen, and interesting geologic formations. Can’t beat free!
