Absolutely love this place!! They have an amazing variety of animals! It's such a fun adventure for everyone!! The staff is always nice and the welcome center has such cute gifts.

What a nice little adventure. There are pros and cons but overall, i recommend if you’re in the area. I wouldn’t say it is worth a long commute if you’re driving for the sole purpose of coming here, however if you’re an hour away or so, I recommend. Pros: a decent amount of animal interaction, hands-on feeding of animals, the animals are lively and non-aggressive for the most part, there are certain areas for other cars to pass if needed, a gift shop and restroom in the “welcome center,” they give you one free bag of feed per paid customer, natural terrain that isn’t too difficult for smaller cars, hilarious donkeys, sweet llamas that like attention, Cons: a LOT of different varieties of deer… like other reviewers have stated, the vast majority of animals that are in this mini adventure are types of deer, not a big variety of other animals, for the money would’ve expected a longer “safari”, tiny gift shop with not much to choose from, workers there not very friendly or nice, bigger animals get in middle of road and don’t move at times, the restrooms were nasty but at least they had them available. The zebras were cute and friendly, the llamas were adorable, the camels were aggressive and stole a whole bag of food, so be warned, the big bird looks evil and is nosy, there are a few types that hop alongside your vehicle that are so funny and amusing. It’s not a mind-blowing experience but wasn’t all bad.

I absolutely could NOT stop smiling! This place makes a zoo look boring. We had an incredible time! They gave us food to feed the animals & I bought some extra food because I'm a kid at heart, however, the amount they gave us would have been plenty. The animals are all so friendly & come right up to you. This is one of the best days of our road trip, by far! Absolutely go if you get the chance! You will not regret your decision!

This is the third drive thru zoo we've done and so far it's the best. I love how the path is through the wooded area, almost like you are literally IN the animal's habitat. At other locations the roads are paved and trees are cut down making it feel more intrusive to their habitat. There are distance markers to tell you when you're 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 of the way through. The animals here run to your car when they see you or when they hear you shake the bag! They are not shy. I listened to the other reviews about buying extra feed and they were right, you need extra feed. We rationed our four bags of feed and had enough, but I feel like we should have gotten six to just not worry about rationing. There is a camel there that is apparently notorious for just taking your entire bag of feed if your not careful. I didn't find this out until reading more reviews afterwards, but I thought it was hilarious. We went on a weekday, so no issues with traffic and it took about 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. It's reasonable priced compared to another drive thru zoo we frequent.

Thank you for your question. No dogs or pets are allowed. Take a look at our link on our website for the rules of Cherokee Trace. http://www.cherokeetrace.com/page/rules
All of them except for the Alligators ma'am.. Thank you so much for the question.
Yes they are but, you can just check their hours either on their website or here on google.
Before you enter the animal area, there are restrooms right where you get your tickets but beware once you enter the animal area, you won't be able to get out of your car.
A little under 2 hours. It mostly depends on how much sight seeing you do and how long others in front of you or you're stopped to feed the animals.

I believe the camel you are referring to is Dolly, who passed away from old age. The other camel is a rascal. He was in camel jail, aka: his pen, when we went, because he was being too greedy and chasing the other critters away from the food.
