I was there in May 2022! I really liked this place and would come back. It's very charming and has a lot of character and history. We were able to walk everywhere from here and knew that we wanted to be on river street. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has 5 restaurants on-site where guests can get a 10% discount. We loved Cafe M for a $5 mimosa and quick breakfast. We loved the complimentary nightly reception from 5-7 with MJ (love her). It was very fun to play trivia, and meet other travelers while enjoying wine and refreshments. I would return to this hotel!

The room, and hotel are beautiful. It’s a shame that there is no sound ordinance on the river front. I purchased a well over $500 dollar river front suite, with balcony for our honeymoon. Unless you like listening to the windows and furniture shake until 2 AM from the bass of cars, and horns, and love the sounds of people yelling, and screaming at night right outside the hotel. Then this might not be for you. I figured river front would be a peaceful way to end our honeymoon. I was wrong. Maybe i had a different impression of Savannah? But I feel like I overpaid for a “relaxing” river front room. Nothing against the staff or hotel. But I would not stay here again due to lack of sleep, and loudness. You would think since most bars close at 9-10. It wouldn’t be a problem, sound wise. Staff was great, and professional. But I would find a quieter place to stay for the amount of money that was paid.

This place is GORGEOUS and so full of character. My husband, myself, and our two young daughters all stayed here from Saturday-Monday for a gymnastics competition. The hotel was extremely clean, the staff on all levels was fantastic from start to finish and super accommodating. Each room is slightly different than the next, and the river views are gorgeous. The barges passing by felt like they were so close! The one thing I will note is that if you're staying over the weekend on the side facing the river, prepare for some potential noise. Saturday night, there were some really cool cars down on river street (sting ray type cars) but they had their music on FULL BLAST. You could hear it through everything, and the hotel does not have ear plugs on hand. Thankfully, it ended somewhere around 10-1015 which is honestly reasonable, but if you have super young kids that go to bed early, it could be an issue for you. Sunday night, all was quiet, so it seems to just be a weekend thing (we were also there the weekend before St. Patty's day so things are starting to pick up down there) I did not take a star off of my review for that because I didn't feel it was fair to dock the hotel's review over something they have ZERO control over. I just wanted to mention it so folks are aware in case that's an issue for you. I always like to mention that I wasn't solicited to write this review, and I'm not receiving anything for writing this review. My opinions and thoughts are genuine and not driven by anything other than wanting to share my experience at a great place.

Not the best spot for a honeymoon. The hotel is hard to find if you are driving and not from this area. Also there isn’t a bathroom till you are able to get to your room. You need your room key for everything, opening the door, the elevator, I get it but it gets annoying. Staff is NOT friendly. They try to ignore your questions and just want to hang out. No one greets you good morning or returns a thank you with you’re welcome. Definitely a huge turn off for all the rudeness. No maid service. Love that it’s in a great location and you can walk to everything but I wouldn’t come back. Bed is nice but super noisey anytime you move. You hear room doors in the hall flam constantly. Also the rooms are located oddly and hard to find, very easy to get lost. If you are familiar with the area it may be a nice stay but for those truly wanting to relax and expect a traditional hotel experience I’d recommend you stay someplace else.
