This was the highlight of our whole trip. 2 adults, 3 kids. Everyone picked this as their favorite part of vacation. We had an amazing day on the water!! If you are lucky enough to get Captain Dugan it will be an incredible experience. He was very knowledgeable about the canyon and a great driver. Advice for passengers: *Bring a hat! *Sunscreen - a lot *Bring a towel *Be prepared to get wet. The water is refreshing but can feel cold *Bring money for the bus ride back. It is 2 hours and they make a bathroom/snack stop. You will be hungry!!! Edited to include - wear closed toe water shoes. You do get in and out of the boat several times. Flip flops wont cut it!! We had our tennis shoes and tgey were great for traction but were soaked.

What an amazing time! We enjoyed the rapids, the beautiful hiking to the water falls, the nice stops and relaxing boat ride down the river. The last part of the day is a little long in the hot heat but the views and cold swimming make up for it! We had a great guide and had a wonderful time.

The over all experience was pretty good. Too bad at the end when the winds picked up, turning into sand storm, our guide speed up. The combination was splashing water mix with (needles) poking sand.

Hualapai River Runners provides an excellent rafting experience. One star taken away for bus driver who kept stopping to tell us about cactus and rocks an the way. We really just wanted to get to the river. I’d be willing to give a star back if the guide had better narrative along the way. It wasn’t bad- he told us about some formations and names of the rapids, and at the same time I would have enjoyed stories about the people there and/or some more history. Amazing tour and the hike before lunch was 100% worth it. The whole thing is 10/10 scenery. Tips: A) That water is cold, like 46°F cold and even though it’s sunny, it’s also windy. While a wetsuit is the only solution I can think of, I noticed the guides wore dark quick dry clothing-long sleeves and tights. B) Wear shoes that can get wet and are good for a hike up a waterfall (flip flops = bad). C) Have a plan for supper, which might be calling in your order to the lodge while you’re on the way back. D) That ride back on the bus is over two hours. Just accept it. E) Tip your guide. (See what I did there?)

Oh absolutely. It's adventurous and it's also the only tour on the Colorado that does 1 or 2 day tours. Every other Colorado raft tour is 5 days+
Hello Susan, the one day trip is under new management but it used to be if we had a chance after who was uncertain about the pairs, we had skilled river guides who could glide over the rapids. The only thing is u have other rafters on that trip as well who come for the adventure. Please Call you back the front desk counter and speak with the concierge she is very helpful and can assist you. Speak with Andrea or Shalimar. 928-769-2210. Enjoy

There are. And there are other's that do take awhile to hike to. And the other place is called supai, for the other water fall's. You would have to drive out to hilltop, and from there u can hilo in hike or horse back the trial is 8 or so miles. The Hualapai tribe has to rafting outfits. Look for rappid 9. Im a tribal member. And thanks for asking, good day.
