Great outdoor store. Good selection of clothing, packs, coaks, and shoes. If you are looking for bikes though I would recommend a bike shop such as Landry's bike shop.

Went there to buy 2 kayaks. We picked out 2 that were on display and went to pay for them. The sales person said, oops, the blue one was sold to an employee. He said they had another one of the same color but it was slightly damaged. I asked if they would give me discount on the damaged one, he said NO! First, if an employee buys something and it's put back out onto the sales floor as a display then it should have been taken out of inventory and a SOLD sticker put on it. Second, the salesperson, who was very congenial, didn't really help the situation. Embarrassing.

Did a stop at REI in Framing ham to get some new trail runners and hiking equipment for my granddaughter. The sales person in shoes was very helpful and very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Great assortment of gear and very clean and neat store. Even the guy at the checkout was a pleasure to deal with. Will stop again and highly recommended.

I went here to try on hiking boots, and I needed them to be completely leather free and waterproof. Additionally, I needed to have super high arch support and a very narrow boot. I was very nervous coming in because it's hard for me to try new places, and I was also apprehensive because I love my current (very worn out) hiking boots. However, Shey was so unbelievably helpful and understanding. Shey helped me find the perfect boot and never made me feel like I was asking for too much or being difficult. I felt so comfortable and at ease. Additionally, Carver helped me set up a membership account even though it was nearing close, which I am very grateful for! Overall, the customer service was the BEST part of the trip. I am SO happy with my new boots, and I am so excited to come back!
