Always a good shopping experience. I love that they all have mostly the same things but very few things that are community specific.

I had an awful experience with Kathy, an elderly white woman, probably about 65 in the customer service area. She was rude, didn’t greet me kindly and made it a point to make my visit into Publix as complicated as she could. She ID’d me for lottery (which is fine, as she knows I was able to provide an ID) and I asked if she could break a $100 dollar bill. She assumed that I would attempt to use the lotto machine without an ID and immediately responded rude and aggressively that I would need an ID for the lottery machine as well. I left the store, went into my car and retrieved my license. In my various Publix experiences never have I had to make an appearance at the customer service desk to provide ID while using the lotto machine. If a Publix representative wanted to ID me they would *politely* walk up to the lotto machine and ask. Instead, Kathy disabled the machine from the customer service desk after watching me put my money in and she made no effort to immediately tend to her mistake as I had my ID on my person and instead she began to blame me for not going to her directly. Fun fact, when I returned from my car I originally went back to the customer service desk. Where Kathy very casually ignored me and asked me to wait while she continued writing down lotto numbers. Which just so happens to be why I used the lotto machine in the first place. After disabling the lotto machine I requested that she provide me with the refund per the ticket the machine gave me once she disabled it. Kathy said no, and that I would have to wait for 6 minutes until the machine was no longer disabled and that she needed to retrieve the money from the lotto machine in addition to the $5 dollars that didn’t end up getting refunded because it was stuck. I waited and nothing, but when another customer requested to use the lotto machine she used a special key to fix the machine. I asked for the $5 dollars that were stuck and she told me no, and forced me to use it and the $20 that she was “getting from the machine” never happened. Kathy refunded me that $20 from the customer service desk after explicitly claiming that she couldn’t do that. If I am being totally honest I felt racially profiled and she was purposefully intending to make my visit more complicated as I witnessed her handle lottery several times during my visit and she ID’d no one else. This was frustrating because initially I approached her kind and well mannered, but that shouldn’t even make a difference. Kathy needs to do better. I typically love my experiences at Publix and never have I dealt with someone so malicious and rude inside of a Publix store. It doesn’t appear that customer service is for Kathy.

It is hard to find a Publix that is less than excellent (I have yet to find one, actually). This location is clean, well-stocked and has great customer-service, everything Publix is known for. I highly recommend this Publix store!

We went to the Sunlake Publix bakery frantically with a last minute (barely 24hr) custom pull apart cupcake birthday cake request. The cake design was NOT something they offered and the cake designers weren’t even in the building but the bakery staff went above and beyond to work with us in designing and detailing something out of one of their existing cake structures. The decorating wizards at this Publix turned their shark cake into a rocket ship and Publix understood the assignment!!! You saved our butts and our kiddo had a space party that was outta this world!! THANKS PUBLIX BAKERY FOR YOUR FLEXIBILITY AND CONSIDERATION!

It appears the fryers are turned on at 7. I asked upon arrival and they said they could make it fresh and take about 20 minutes
No. But there is a nice ER right up the street
