I would recommend try to get a hold of DMV in Albany see how far along you are and DMV can only provide the registration. The inspection sticker you have to go to a certified New York state inspection location and get it inspected there.

Forms are best recieved using the drop box in front of a DMV office. The security guard will answer your questions, give you the forms that you need and a large envelope to put everything in. I was unaware you could take it online... You can take a practice test online but to actually officially get a NYS permit you have to schedule a test online and take it inside the DMV and there is also a fee. I just did this about a month ago... Be prepared to pay anywhere between $60 and $100.

Yea that appointment thing waste of time such run around when you go there my mom had appointment at 430 to change her address on her id cuz it wouldnt let me do it when i renew it in beginning of the virus so we went and gaurd said something different i said i try online it wasnt happening blah blah comes back told my mom to fill out a form and drop it off at that point i had enough was 100 degrees arguing and we couldnt go in for are appointment and my mom 80yr old so double check everything before you make appointment

In some states they do.. but u would need to solve whatever issues u got on your record first. plus u can always call and ask.

Notify the insurance company and submit paperwork stating that he cant drive. They will refund you money from policy if you still have more time left on it. Also let DMV know you will need to turn in your plates.
