We wanted to transfer title and register a car in Ny and had issues with getting the right name on the insurance policy. We had made a reservation and was assigned an agent within 5 minutes of walking in DMV. Our agent, Yasmine Grace, was wonderful and very patient in making sure that our issue was handled. One of the best customer service we ever had. She went above and beyond call of duty to help us. Thank you Yasmine for all your help!

My experience at the DMV was just shy of perfect. We had our appointments at 3.45 and 4pm. Pulled in to park and realized while we were walking towards the door that I parked in a incorrect parking spot. It was close to our appointment time so I figured I would go in check in and while my wife's appointment was first I would move my vehicle to the correct parking spot. The security guy at the door said with sarcasm that I should have moved my vehicle before I checked in . He didn't know my appointment time and trying to figure out why he felt it was his responsibility to talk down to me about where I parked and how and when I was going to move my Vehicle. Very uncalled for and unprofessional.....

Absolute trash, I moved to Florida and sent my plates in to be surrendered so I can cancel my NY car insurance, they lost my plates, I had to then send a lost plates application, and another surrender plate application and still nothing. I'm stuck paying car insurance in Florida and NY! It's illegal to cancel auto insurance in NY until the DMV destroys my plates. They simply don't care and there's nothing I can do about it except continuously call and resend applications.

I made a reservation online the same day. Got there, greeted politely, called almost immediately to the window. Clerk was efficient & completed the process in about 20 minutes for a license upgrade.

How much does it cost to get a new title? Is there a fee to get a new title
Go for a builders title say u built it with parts from multiple campers,
www.nysdmv.org or search for NY State DMV and it's listed in the website , also you can call your local DMV office and they have a recording explaining everything
Mail them back to any NYS DMV
https://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv6641.pdf
You would have to get new plates to get a 10 day inspection from DMV
No, it should not be an issue
I can get it. What do u need to fax?
Ok so you'll need birth certificate mail and lease social security card
U can continue business with DMV u just go online n pay for services online n it will be mailed to you
Go to DMV and request a Title Swan St Albany NY.
can I make an appointment to renew my drivers license for an enhanced license
You have to contact the court in the district you the got the ticket and pay it through them not dmv
it takes over 7 days to get by mail
Can't
Not if you come between 8am - 3pm. Appointments are strongly encouraged I case something comes up.
You'll have to go to your local DMV office to do that
Probably should just to be on the safe side
I would suggest he call DMV office. They'll have a better advise for her situation
Yes by email
7 to 14 days
Yes
They mail back a receipt.
Renew a title. Pay fee and get new title. Unless that is someone's vehicle who were stored in the abended garage and property and owner passed away 10 years too. Although if it's your personal vehicle which were not in use and it was parked on your property-pay fee and get new title.
They do all transactions and etc by appointment go on Dmv website to schedule a appointment when you arrive you have to show proof then will be greeted and will have paperwork to fill out if needed and will have ticket printed out for window number I was just there Monday last week everything goes quick I wasnt there more than 15 minutes
U can go on line or the website dmv.org
You can do it through the online portal, although doing it in person with alleviate some of the "convenience costs' for filling out the application online. Hope this helps! Any other questions can also be answered through ny.gov
You have to make an account on nydmv.gov
Written statement from bank take to a DMV
You can't
If the tickets are from Albany, try city hall 518-434-5075
If you never filled it with DMV, you are truly going to have to contact them for an answer to that. They could help you with that situation.
Destroy it or surrender them at any NM DMV
Depends on the vehicle, these answers and more can be found on the NYS DMV website
You have to make an appointment. No walk-ins. You can get the paper license on the day that you go as long as you have the appropriate paperwork.
Call the insurance company and tell them that you're no longer using the car. Or are you?
Proof of residence (utility bill, monthly bank statement, pay stub etc), proof of citizenship (ss card). Valid ID with picture on it.
I'm sorry, but I don't work for DMV.
Usually takes a month or two.
Create an account on mydmv.org if you don't already have one. Then you need to schedule a reservation, which will allow you to choose specifically what your appointment is for. Be sure to have all your paperwork the day of your appointment or you will have to reschedule.
Yes, you need appointment to enter the building for all and any reasons.
You can call do you can the 50 dollars for not having insurance
Apply for a duplicate Dino
No appointments only
You have to go to the DMV site of your specific county to make an appointment
Have dmv or original seller request new copies of original paperwork
Absolutely, and they will call u if they doubt anything on the forms.
Turn n ur plates
I don't believe so, there's a large box out front with envelopes that you can drop them in.
Did you pay them?
Not sure but call the DMV they will tell you.
Go back to the DMV to let them know that
No
I would recommend try to get a hold of DMV in Albany see how far along you are and DMV can only provide the registration. The inspection sticker you have to go to a certified New York state inspection location and get it inspected there.
Yes. But you're only allowed in the building with an appointment.
Damned if I know 🤷🏻♂️ I think just when taking the driving test, but they didn't test my daughter's eyes who just got licensed, so buckle up I guess🤷🏻♂️
I really don't know but I would say bring your own to be sure
I think the renewal could be done online and you will have to call or visit the DMV, and on your check you will have to call your bank and cancel it.
you need to call the nearest DMV and they will give you all the correct information. That is the better option.
Forms are best recieved using the drop box in front of a DMV office. The security guard will answer your questions, give you the forms that you need and a large envelope to put everything in. I got my registration first, then new plates 6 weeks later. The reg had the old and new number on it. Hope this helps.
Three us a online form to cancel your registration. You then can take the insurance off of the vehicle. You are asked to cut up and destroy each plate individually to be secure. You do not send them back anymore.
Then supposed to call you to ask for the information to pay, or if you made the transaction online, you had to put the information of your payment card
I got one recently so I think so
No need appointment
https://dmv.ny.gov/id-card/how-renew-non-driver-id-card
How take ownership of abandoned vehicle in my driveway ?
I was unaware you could take it online... You can take a practice test online but to actually officially get a NYS permit you have to schedule a test online and take it inside the DMV and there is also a fee. I just did this about a month ago... Be prepared to pay anywhere between $60 and $100.
Absolutely yes especially while the pandemic is happening
You have to drop off the papers they get back to you in about 7 days
On the back of the parking/speeding ticket it tells you how to pay it, you don't need to go to the DMV.
Request your driving record
I don't think you can. I think it is always mailed to you because they use a vendor for printing. It also validates the address you have on your license. Certainly, I don't work there but I asked once in the past and that is what I was told.
You can try different DMV office as Rensselaer (East Greenbush)
My ID had expired and I had to wait for DMV to open back up to refile. I went onto the site but it wouldn't allow me to file so I had to call the office and have them send me an application. Just saying what happened to me. Maybe bc it had expired Idk.
Hi Anthony, You can log in to https://dmv.ny.gov/ to obtain your driving record.
Unfortunately you may have to call DMV bc certain things cannot be done online and are required you come to the establishment in.person.
Go to DMV and ask for an application to apply for a new one. You may need to call first bc for certain things they're not letting you through but will request you go online.
1to3 weeks
If you live in Renselaer then you may need to. You should call just to be sure.

In some states they do.. but u would need to solve whatever issues u got on your record first. plus u can always call and ask.
Notify the insurance company and submit paperwork stating that he cant drive. They will refund you money from policy if you still have more time left on it. Also let DMV know you will need to turn in your plates.
