The location is truly great, and the rooms are very big, but the building is very old and falling apart. I want to give this 2.5 stars. However, since that is not an option, I feel two is more accurate that 3. Pros: (1) The location is amazing. Right downtown. Within three minute walks of Metro Market and Juneau Park. It is truly hard to beat. (2) There is also a front and back door, which for an apartment, is quite nice. Some of the apartments have balcony's, but ours did not. (3) The three bedroom apartment was MASSIVE! there is plenty of extra shelf space. (4) Washer and Dryer + dish washer is a big win. No garbage disposal though. Cons: (1) The building is a dark brick, and there is no central AC. So that building gets toasty in the summer and fall months. (2) The flooring in our kitchen got water under it (which came in under the back door) and lifted it up. When we opened the back door, it ripped up the flooring in the kitchen. There was also another massive cut in the floor through the main hallway which we just put a rug over. (3) There are no shortage of those creepy centipede things. Never been a big fan of bugs. (4) Be careful walking down the back stairs. The wood is old, and the snow and ice gets on there. Quite dangerous. (5) and this may not be a problem in the near future, but they were building a giant skyscraper right next door. It was ALWAYS noisy when we were there. (6) We had some issues with the management company, but the building manager was a nice guy. Two edged sword. (7) In our apartment, several of the windows were broken and either (a) could not be opened, or (b) could no stay open. We made the most of the place.
