Perfect if you are a beginner. This ski resort is an hour or so away from Denver. Day passes are of reasonable price. There are complimentary lessons. The stuff are helpful, friendly, and care about guests’ safety.

Had a great time here with the whole family, but there's some things that could have been better. They should have some actual dedicated instructors to work with new skiers/snowboarders and teach them in a methodical manner. I don't know if the place if big enough to justify that, but since it's a small place with fairly easy runs that seems geared toward beginners, I think they should lean into that aspect of it. I had 3 kids who were complete beginners, and a wife who hadn't skied in 20 years, and they were never comfortable to leave the (tiny) bunny slope. All the staff were helpful and friendly, but none of them were really instructors even though they did their best to give pointers. The facility is small but very nice, with good food and an actual bar, which surprised me for such a small place. The price was also very reasonable. I was able to board every inch of the available runs in one day, but I feel like I could go back and continue to have fun. The fact that the lodge is halfway down the run also created a problem for the one kid that tried to do a real run, and ended up walking the last part down to the lift, and was very upset when he found out he had to walk more after he got off the top of the lift. Overall a positive experience, and I hope you take this criticism in the constructive manner it's intended. I had a great time, and I will probably be back next winter, and hopefully get the kids to do a little more on the slopes.

This is a good site mostly for beginners. They have good selection of rental skis. There is a learning hill w/ magic carpet and one lift with access to a few runs. They also have a tubing hill which is a nice break from skiing. The view from the parking lot is beautiful and the lodge is nice. But again, mostly for beginners or casual skiers.

Brought my family here on Christmas Day to go tubing. It was a lot of fun! They have a people mover that takes riders to the top of the tube tacks. Super convenient! It’s a beautiful drive not more than an hour a little ways up i70 towards Mt. Evans. It would be helpful if you have 4x4/ all wheel drive to assist you up the mountain as when there is snow on the road (all winter) there are some steep grades that would give you a hard time with just 2x4. Worth the trip and close to Denver!

Hi Denzel! Yes, check out everything you need to know about Rentals here - https://echomntn.com/rentals.
Alyssa's comment is objectively wrong. Burgers are $10 with fries and beers are comparably priced with any restaurant. This is near half the cost of any resort on I70. Additionally, the bunny hill is brand new and nowhere close to steep... And to answer your question, there's a new lounge in the chalet to watch TV and relax by the fire while your kid snowboards.
Hi James! No weight or age limit, but we do have a minimum of 36" height requirement!
Tubing
Reservations required online for this season. I believe u can make same day reservations if tics are still available.
The opening date is November 27th. Night skiing should start December 11th. Hope this helps.
For the 6month old all I can recommend is holding them on the sidelines and of course maybe letting them play with the snow. For the 5 year they can tie your tubing tires together so you can slide down the hill as one unit. And of course when they get bored or cold the restaurant down the slope is open and they have another building down the slope that looks like a recreation area.
Hi Charla-Judine! Tubes are included in the reservation. Check out our Tubing page on our website for info on what's included, what our policies are, and how to make a reservation! https://echomntn.com/tubing
Hi Levi! As some others have pointed out, the conditions depend on what time of year you visit and what the weather has been like recently. You can see our Conditions & Trail Map page for what's open, what the terrain is like and more - https://echomntn.com/mountain-conditions. We also post snow reports fairly frequently to OpenSnow, SnoCountry, OnTheSnow and CSCUSA.
