Charming and relaxing train ride! Staff are knowledgeable about the area and RR history. Scenic train ride through forest with exhibits set up along the way to view. Beautiful glimpses of river. Recommend you buy your tickets online in advance, especially if you want to do the mine tour as well.

It was all that was seen on YouTube but for me, it was a short ride, only one deer and a kid said she was bored. Generally it was just the train, the steam engine...I liked it generally and the staff were so professional! Lovely & happy to be at work.

Only about an hour or so out of the city. Bring snacks because I don't recall there being a concession stand. Pretty views and some cool facts. Was shorter than I remembered it being from when I went up as a kid, but it's a good time and perfect for sight seeing with the family.

Had a great time. Train ride was fun and they also gave some history of the original railroad that ran the route. We took the Lebanon silver mine tour and our guide "L" was amazing and hilarious. She also pointed out a couple abandoned gold mines high up the mountain. Beautiful scenery and I highly recommend it.

Depending on weather but close to an hour and take lots of pictures its very fun and cool but very beautiful with snow on mountains
Hello, I was a few weeks ago and it really is beautiful and very fun to go with the family, for people it costs approximately $ 25.00 dollars, the schedules seem to me that the tours go every 1 hour and you must make sure to buy your tickets online or that there is space or seats available, if you choose your time you must be about 30 minutes before to get in line, that does not take long they are very organized. The hours are from 10-11am from 11-12 to 1-2pm and the last one is from 3-4pm (the tour takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes) I recommend that you bring a camera or your well-charged cell phone so that you enjoy taking photos. I hope it serves you 🙂 Greetings!
Always purchase from the site or over the phone and at least a month out. If you have kiddos under 8 don't take the mine tour. You can't carry the kiddos and it's a lot of walking and they don't recommend that for younger ones. Also coach seats are open air so if you are coming before June I would upgrade.
Actually it starts at the Georgetown Loop and makes its way to Silver Plume to switch engines with stop at the mine if you paid for it in advance.
Shouldn't be too busy, but would still book just to be safe.
I'm not certain, but my gut feeling is that they would be allowed. The passenger cars are open air.
Not sure if you can eat while you are in the train, but you sure can take food and eat it in the parking lot. The ride is not too long. The town also has different restaurants.
Dates are available by season.
Yes, stops at mine tours .two different mines to tour ( learn to pan for gold) then to Georgetown, then back up non stop.
1 hr 15 min just to ride the train. The parlor cars offer food, but you must pay extra in advance. Coach does not have any services.
